Appearance :Copper red lager with good off white top.4-
Nose :Good aroma, typical classic like okto . Malty with hints of woody touches , wet bark like. Slight oak like acidity at end. Earthy hops.
Flavour/Palate : Soft bodied lager, fairly solid malt base. Sweet caramel shown in the middle. I only wished that to be bit more crisp. Well brewed but with overly soft texture.
Draught sampler at Empire State Building location. Clear amber with a small tan head. Good balance in the aroma and flavour of sweet, nutty malts and spicey hops. Body is clean and crisp. Nice take on the style, a good one for the lagerheads. wnhay (722) - Princeton, New Jersey, USA - SEP 17, 2006
Pours dark amber with a thick tan head. Smells like grain and caramel and fruits. Smooth taste with a good deal of caramel. This is really nice. beaconstreet (811) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 18, 2004
Mahogany color. Tastes a bit like ribbon candy. I’d like to take a note as to how much I love other people picking up the check for new beers I have. Had this at Union Sq. location. One of the better Oktoberfests I’ve drank since experiencing the style. notalush (5878) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 17, 2004
Light and fruity - not nearly as hardy as I like my Oktoberfests - the finish was a bit hoppy and thin, not good for the style at all - sometimes when a beer defies expectations, it’s a good thing, but not in this case.

UPDATED: OCT 13, 2005 Spicy and floral. Medium light bronze. Well-hopped, good CO2 sting. Buttery, floral, lightly sweet with some fruitiness. Medium, edgy hop and CO2-fizzy finish. Medium body. Best brewpub Oktoberfest yet this year. rerate: 2005 Aroma is very fruity. Parched malt flavours. Good for the style.
