DSG (15119) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - NOV 29, 2008
(10/22/08) Draught sample at the brewpub at Empire State Building, New York. Clear deep amber color. Aroma of malt, some toastiness and light fruity hints. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel and butterscotch. Medium-bodied.

blipp (9598) - La Mesa, California, USA - OCT 8, 2013
Draft at Empire State location. Pours amber with an off white head. Medium sweet malts, faint diacetyl, and light earthy and toffee notes. For the style, this one has all of the bad and none of the good.

Radek Kliber (7470) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - OCT 12, 2007
On Tap at 51st
Appearance :Copper red lager with good off white top.4-
Nose :Good aroma, typical classic like okto . Malty with hints of woody touches , wet bark like. Slight oak like acidity at end. Earthy hops.
Flavour/Palate : Soft bodied lager, fairly solid malt base. Sweet caramel shown in the middle. I only wished that to be bit more crisp. Well brewed but with overly soft texture.

notalush (5910) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - OCT 17, 2004
Light and fruity - not nearly as hardy as I like my Oktoberfests - the finish was a bit hoppy and thin, not good for the style at all - sometimes when a beer defies expectations, it’s a good thing, but not in this case.

Aurelius (5497) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 7, 2003
UPDATED: OCT 13, 2005 Spicy and floral. Medium light bronze. Well-hopped, good CO2 sting. Buttery, floral, lightly sweet with some fruitiness. Medium, edgy hop and CO2-fizzy finish. Medium body. Best brewpub Oktoberfest yet this year. rerate: 2005 Aroma is very fruity. Parched malt flavours. Good for the style.

Jow (4033) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 9, 2010
On tap at Heartland Brewery at 42nd and 8th. Not my favorite part of town but had hour to kill. Much darker then i expected. Taste of caramel malt and plent roasty notes. slight nutty chraacter and just right amount of bitterness. pleasanty surprised by this. pretty good.

GregClow (3402) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 8, 2006
Draught sampler at Empire State Building location. Clear amber with a small tan head. Good balance in the aroma and flavour of sweet, nutty malts and spicey hops. Body is clean and crisp. Nice take on the style, a good one for the lagerheads.

tgncc (3140) - Bellmore, New York, USA - OCT 3, 2008
Beautiful color, mainly red, with purple and brown. very fall-like. Decent white head. The aroma is weak, and slightly off-putting. It’s mostly spicy, probably from hops, with some malyness. No many hops evince themselves in the flavor. The flavor is strongly caramel malts, with a slight hop bite. The finish is about the same. Decent marzen.

davidm (2081) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 11, 2011
Tap at the brewery. Aromas of caramel, cherry, apple, and a hint of chocolate. Taste is sweet, with average length, and a touch of sourness. Palate is velvety, with a medium body. Amber, with a head that disappears.

Pwn3d (1962) - Manhattan, New York, USA - NOV 11, 2010
On tap at HB Burger w/ Deirdre. Malty brew... odd grape taste in the finish. Good but not crazy.
