Pretty average beer on tap at Heartland Brewery because it is a blended version of the Red Nose. Tastes a bit spiced but nothing really stands out. Light and easy to drink.
My rating will reflect the true Red Nose unblended:
Red Nose unblended in cask at Blind Tiger Ale House. Pours a deep reddish brown perfectly cellar temperature with little lacing and no head. Tastes of sweet dark fruits and heavily spiced with nutmeg, cinnamon, candied ginger and citrus. It is a bit sweet but the aging rounds out the flavors and the hint of alcohol at the end actually works well in this beer.
Tap at the Heartland Brewery and Chophouse, 43rd St, NYC. Pours a hazy mahogany brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of Christmas spices, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Quite heavy sweetness, little bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation. Finish is sweet with a dry mouthfeel. ben4321 (6514) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - DEC 19, 2016
Draft at the 43rd location. Pours darker orange/amber color. Frothy beige head. The aroma is loads of spice. Some sweet malt and toffee as well. Drinks sweet with lots of spice. Average carbonation. Not overly cloying. Okay. scarletfire65 (1466) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 15, 2011
Simple spiced amber ale. Some nutmeg, cinnamon, light bodied with a crisp spicy finish, faint black pepper and ginger powder. deanso (10141) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - DEC 3, 2011
on tap at the mdiwtown location.
Clear amber pour with a decent head. Nice enough beer with some spices in the aftertaste. A good winter beer blipp (9306) - La Mesa, California, USA - DEC 21, 2010
Draft at the Empire State Building location. Pours amber with an off white head. Nutty sweet aroma, with caramel and light spices. The flavor has chestnut-like nutty sweetness, and some light spicy notes. Solid.

Some chestnut, cinnamon and spices are in there with a decent malt body to envelop it but still a bit too watery for me. If you are a malt head this one might be for you though. brewersspot (97) - , California, USA - OCT 29, 2010
I had this beer a while back and from what I can remember I enjoyed it. I’ve had this at the pub/brewery so it was fresh.
Nothing special about it is popping into my head at the moment. Jow (3928) - New York, USA - JAN 6, 2010
Had this during a drinking lunch at work. An interesting beer for heartland however i found it too nutmegy or gingery. Tasted better as it warmed but something slighty off at first and not something you could drink a lot of. But still glad i had it especially on a wednesday at noon. baraciisch (3240) - California, USA - DEC 23, 2009
Red brown in color... Aroma is of oranges and nutty malts... Flavor is of ginger and oranges... With a nice malty finish and a hint of spices on the palate... Pretty good... zdk (1917) - New York, New York, USA - DEC 18, 2009
Tap at union sq. This is fairly decent for a heartland brew. Pours reddish brown, actually quite pretty. Nothing in this beer really stood out to me. Some roasted/smoky notes with lots of malt flavor and some spice to cap it up. Bitter is mild.
