5oz sampler from the brewpub NYC. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a small foamy off white head. Aroma of caramel, fresh citrus hops, and a hint of yeast. Taste of toasted and caramel malt, citrus zest, and pine. Theydon_Bois (19199) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2013
Tap at Heartland, Union Sq, 24/11/13.
Reddish brown with a good size light beige head that retains well, good lacing ensues.
Nose is caramel, sugars, sweet bread dough, light fruit.
Taste comprises biscuit malt, caramel, fruitloaf, candied sugars.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth, sweet finale with light bitterness.
Ok for style, not much depth but an easy drinker. Slipstream (2612) - USA - DEC 14, 2013
On draft at Heartland Union Square. This had a yeasty amber/lager taste. Mediocre. Heartland likes to run advertisements with photos of their smiling brewers showing off their beers, but this one is nothing to be so proud of. alkolas510 (1382) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 30, 2013
Mörkbrun med litet skum! Inte mycket doft men i smaken finns det mycket caramelsmak och humle! jflopsu (1592) - New Jersey, USA - NOV 8, 2013
An average amber ale. Pours a light amber. Has a light aroma of malt and some caramel. Taste is malt, caramel, and some nuts. Smooth.

Small creamy shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly neutral and sweet, caramel malts, dark sugar, hay, toffee, nuts. Taste is slightly sweet, caramel malts, hay, slightly roasted coffee, nuts, cardboard. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough.
I wish I knew what happened with this one... It was a decent amber ale with slight malty notes. I was too put off by the alcohol flavor in my drink though! It covered any enjoyable maltiness that might otherwise have made this an enjoyable beer. BlackHaddock (7232) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 12, 2013
18th Jan 2013 finds me in New York and the Heartland tap under the ESB.
I found this to be their beer that most suited my taste buds.
Good colouring, red and clean, on top a beige head of foam.
The aroma was malt infused nuts with caramel topped toffee apple.
The taste was also on the sweet side , but the hops gave it a more semi-bitter feel after the roasted malts calmed down in the mouth.
Flavoursome and most enjoyable.

Clear reddish amber with an off white head and modest lace. Toasted malt and caramel aromas. Caramel sweetness is prominent, accompanied by nuttiness and a gentle offsetting hop bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation and a clean finish. DedicatedToFun (4000) - Santa Monica, California, USA - FEB 18, 2013
Better than the lager, dark red, smooth, pretty good overall drank in nyc at the pub there
