I enjoy this red. It has a rich toffee that is a little sweet at the end, mild nutiness. Gorgeous dark red color.

On tap at Heartland, New York. Nice very dark red color. Unconvincing in relation to coffee and smoke flavor. Strange aftertaste. Aniela (4216) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 29, 2013

[keg, Heartland Brewpub, New York City] Pours a clear amberish red, with a decent white head. Aroma is predominantly caramel, but with plenty of nuts, brown sugar, bready yeast. Flavours are similar, ends quite sweet for my personal taste, but is decent enough beerandbeyond (708) - ISRAEL - NOV 27, 2012

Clear pretty mahogany color with a small off white head.
Aroma of caramel, nuts, wine like fruitiness and amaretto.
Dark fruit flavor (raisins), round nutty malt flavor, some spicy hops and medium bitterness.
Medium bodied, balanced and quite nice.

On draft at the south street seaport location. Dark red color with a white head. Malty with some citrus notes. EdKing (2586) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 4, 2012
Notes from 2008 NY visit. Clear reddish amber ale, white head. Nose is chocolatey malt, caramel, brown sugar. This is very malty. Taste is chocolate, caramel, brown sugar but there’s also some ale hop fruit. Touch of hop bitter in the finish but it’s mainly malt dominating.
