(Draught at HB Union Square) Amber and clear. Medium sized white head. Spices, treacle and malts in aroma. Medium bodied palate with medium carbonation. Sweetness, malts, treacle, spices, roastedness and bitterness. Treacle, roastedness and malts in aftertaste. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 19, 2007
On tap at the Union Square location on 9/15/07: Clear orange bronze with a thin ring of wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of pumpkin cinnamon spice and butterscotch. Body has a decent balance of toasty malt and pumpkin spice but has too much diacetyl character. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 13, 2011
A Sim rate (tap at Heartland, Union Square): Spicy aroma. Pumpkin, of course, but also nutmeg and cinnamon. Flavour is very similar. I’ve bumped up the flavour score because of how much I love that pumpkin pie flavour it’s got. Very sweet and spicy finish. Enjoyed it very much. KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 14, 2008
On tap at Empire State Building.
Sure there is fruitiness, but they have also used the whole spice rack, which is too much for me. I will never be a strong pumpkin ale fan! egajdzis (6580) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 3, 2010
[Draft @ MS Bike NY] Dark brown color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of cinnamon, spices, ginger, and all spice. Taste of the same spices, with light tobacco. and sticky caramel.

Aroma: On the light side, some fall spices (not necessarily) pumpkin, and bready malts
Appearance: This one pours in the glass a clear amber-orange color with a small head
Flavor: The taste is much the same, with some spice and bready malts, leans sweet for the style
Palate: The body is light (leaning medium), with a decent mouthfeel, and average carbonation
I thought that this was a below average example of the style. This one is fine, but it leans toward the dull side in most of the categories.
Growler. Pours copper with a thin off white head. Smells of pumpkin spices, some honey, hints of pumpkin mash. Tastes watery and more or less devoid of anything pumpkin. Not worth it. TheBeerGod (6221) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - OCT 15, 2006
GABF 2006. Called Greenpoint Smiling Pumpkin. Orange body. Nose is pumpkin pie, light spices, cinnamon, and a hint of gingerbread. Taste is pretty much the same. It’s like drinking a pumpkin pie. Light spice, cinnamon, some gingery notes, and a touch of nutmeg. Body is light medium with a controlled carbonation feel on the palate. Ends with more pumpkin pie flavors and cotrolled spices. Light gingerbread. Nice stuff! dwyerpg (6180) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JAN 2, 2006
Faint average pumpkin aroma. A solid pumpkin offering. Enough to be noticeable but isn’t too much. Not amazing like Elevator’s Pumpkin beer. Aurelius (5335) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - OCT 29, 2002
Velvet, thin foam. Pumpkin orange. Cinnamon noses, tastes like pumpkin pie in the glass. Tangy.
