Draught at Heartland Brewery (Empire State Building) NYC sept 2012. Clear amber beer with a small offwhite head. Really spicy aroma. Spicy fruity fresh flavour. pivo (2689) - GERMANY - JAN 1, 2005
I like the idea of pumpkin beer and look forward to getting my hands on it when the season comes around. This was a fairly decent sample. Nice dark orange color and low head. Dull but broad pumpkin flavor that blends well with the malt. Cinnamon end. Full body. Got a slightly cardboardy aftertaste, but otherwise quite good. tgncc (3145) - Bellmore, New York, USA - SEP 8, 2007
The beer has the orange appearance of a pumpkin, and it’s actually appealing. The aroma is dominated by pumpkin, nutmeg and spice. The flavor is malty. with clear pumkin influence. Slight hop biterness on the finish. One of the better pumpkin ales. brewersspot (97) - , California, USA - OCT 29, 2010
I had this beer a while back and from what I can remember I enjoyed it. I’ve had this at the pub/brewery so it was fresh.
Nothing special about it is popping into my head at the moment. cardofab (235) - Teramo- ITALY, ITALY - DEC 2, 2013
Discreta pumpkin ale. Al naso e gradevolmente maltata con note dolciastre. In bocca resta equilibrata, di corpo medio con gradevole fondo luppolato.

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2006 Draught: This one pours a crystal clear, slightly orangish, dark golden color. There was a bit of an off-white head on it, but it left quite a bit of lacing. The aroma was basically pumpkin pie spices (ginger, clove, cinnamon), with not much malt coming through at all. Yet, they weren’t overpowering as some others in this style tend to be. The taste was fairly similar. The spices weren’t overdone, but the beer behind them was a little light. More malts were needed to provide a better balance. Still, it wasn’t bad at all. A good pumpkin beer. fiulijn (21516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 9, 2007
Draught at the brewery, Empire State Building NYCbaraciisch (3443) - California, USA - JAN 4, 2011
Light amber color. The aroma has some fruitness, light ginger and some cinnamon. Some good malt taste, some sweetness, light pumpkin, some cinnamon. Pleasant.
Cinnamon and spice aroma... Orange in color... Flavor is light and crisp, nice amount of sweetness from the pumpkin, a lot better than most pumpkin ales I’ve had... Pretty solid MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 13, 2011
A Sim rate (tap at Heartland, Union Square): Spicy aroma. Pumpkin, of course, but also nutmeg and cinnamon. Flavour is very similar. I’ve bumped up the flavour score because of how much I love that pumpkin pie flavour it’s got. Very sweet and spicy finish. Enjoyed it very much. Wanja (772) - GERMANY - JAN 31, 2013
On tap at Heartland, New York. Nice dark cloudy orange color. Nice spicy taste with cinnamon and nutmeg aroma...
