A-pours a very dark brown color, transparent, tan head.
S-bready malt up front, slightly earthy, dry oak with a touch of vanilla, quite woody, sweet malt in the back, tart cherries with a hint of booze.

6th June 2010. RBESG 10 Grand Tasting at the Brasserie 4:20 Warehouse. A huge thanks to our Brasserie 4:20 host - Alex - for throwing this rare beer on to the table towards the end of the tasting. Clear dark brown beer. Oaky nose. Light dry palate. Rich dark toffee oak, a little spicy as well. Some vanilla and coconut. Complex and sumptuous. Could do some damage with this! Finishes dry. lobonator (19) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 14, 2010
Thanks to Larry and Sherry at Crown. Not normally a fan of blends, but this brew was an exception. Aroma sweet. Barrel comes through, some wood. Sharp bourbon, but not too much. An enjoyable brew. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUN 14, 2010

20100515 Sampled at PilsnerPeter’s 2nd Annual Spring Gathering. Major sweetness but nicely blended mix of huge beers. Creamy and buttery with nougat, vanilla, tobacco, plum. Hot hot hot alcohol, but a fun ounce. God forbid I had to work through a bottle of this stuff though. cgarvieuk (24536) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 8, 2010
