2014 batch. I haven’t had a new Baltic Porter in years, so I am looking forward to the first taste. It’s very good, rich, dark, heavy, clean tasting, with none of that funkiness you get from the Polish bottles. It must be the Oregon water. keenanrobbins (19) - - JAN 26, 2012
Smooth and smoky from start to finish. Looks great in the glass with a subtle aroma. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 4, 2013
Bomber from Corvallis. Pours a deep brown with a tan head. Nose is supremely fruity, loads of melanoidin and cocoa. Really classic Baltic porter nose. Some alcohol is noted. On tasting, lightly sweet and rich, lots of malt, cocoa, plums. Drying finish and balanced. Superb Baltic. popery (2170) - San Francisco, California, USA - JAN 18, 2015
The beer is coffee black. Dark brown at the edges. Smallish tan head. Dissipates to a film of bubbles after a couple minutes. Some lacing. The aroma is cocoa powder, caramel/toffee and some dark fruity flavors. There’s a pleasant nutty character with mild spice. Roast is quite mild. The taste starts sweet with rich toffee-ish maltiness. Milder chocolate than in the aroma. More fruitiness - apples, grapes. The beer is nice and clean and stays well away from cloying territory. Mild roast acidity and a touch of hop bitterness in the finish cuts off the sugary flavors. Smooth and full. Lots of flavor for the abv with well-hidden booze. Very well made. Heater Allen is an excellent brewery. brewolf (169) - Wilderness, WA, USA, - MAR 26, 2012
Draft: Very deep brown pour with a tan head. Nice roast, dark caramel, dark fruit, with a hint of milk/lactose and an almost oaky barrel character in the nose. Flavor is lightly sweet and adds a faint cocoa note. Body is medium creamy, carb is soft, and bitterness is extremely low in the malty fruit-kissed finish. Nice example of the style without an overly inflated abv.
Bottle: Carbonation more flat, thinner body, and more muted flavor profile. Glad I was able to catch it on draft, as it seemed like a completely different beer. I would have rated my bottle a 3.4 at best.

Very dark brown beer..almost black in the center of the glass. Head is huge and creamy light tan coloured.
Great malty/nutty/cream aromas..also getting some of that Lindt Dark chocolate and sea salt thing.
Taste is very similar to the aroma but the Dark chocolate/sea salt aspect is greater..which i like.’
Really good mouth feel this is a heavy beer but the palate was light, smooth, silky but never watery.
Very nice Baltic..will have again.

2012, which is a Baltic porter but reads 6.5 on the bottle. Super dark with twinkles of brown in the light and a creamy cappuccino head. The nose is robust and dryly malty with heaps of thick caramel welling up out of the glass. It has a small burst of dry roasted malt followed by that thick, sweet, buttery caramel. The carbonation is well judged with a blitz early on that cleanses the residual sugar from the tongue and then it settles back out allowing that honeyed stickiness to take over again. I think I could drink a bunch of it. garmonbozia (429) - Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA - JAN 6, 2013
Another huge thanks to Joel at Corvallis Brewing Supply for this beer. Dark amber color with spices, malt and some nuttiness to it. The sweetness of the malt was great along with the spices made this a perfect beer for Christmas. The mouthfeel was medium and well balanced. Again this was a great beer bhensonb (15194) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 23, 2015
Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours brown with a slight tan head. Aroma of dark fruit and dark malt. Not a very sweet aroma. Med + body. Flavor is dark fruit and dark malt. Maybe a hint of smoke and or coffee. Nice drink, but it might be fun as an imperial. neepsntatties (1988) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 10, 2012
Bottle of the 2011. I had this during the holidays then happened upon some bottles at an eatery in McMinnville in March. Colour...basic black with a thick tan head. Nose... Prunes and chocolate drops. Palate...semi viscous with mild CO2 then a decent shot of Belgian milk chocolate (like Cote d’ Or), some currants and raisins and a semi dry finish.
