0.5 l bottle from ’Bier & Beer’, best before May 2018. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, white head. Sweetish, floral, slightly herbal aroma of hay, honey, heather and some caramel. Sweetish, floral and quite herbal-spicy taste of caramel, honey, heather, hay and some ginger, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy and rather herbal-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very interesting, not too herbal, quite enjoyable. Okay! aleksander9 (1789) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 29, 2017
-Bottle at fancy fish restaurant, Fort william- Ginger, cinnamon buns and herbal finish. Great! erikaraeb (256) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 5, 2017
A peaty aroma typical of lighter ales like this. Tastes of grass, malt, and a touch of flowers with a definite honey sweetness. Not normally a fan of such light ales, and this one didn’t do much to convince me, but it is refreshing and a wee bit more out of the ordinary. You get a taste of history with such an old recipe, at least. gripweed57 (2591) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - APR 28, 2017
Orange Amber color and creamy white head. Fragrant sweet malt nose with obvious notes of heather and honey.mdryish, herbal malt flavor is unique. Notes of honey and fruity malt in finish. balloonbuffoon (392) - - APR 4, 2017
Paid $3 for a 16.9floz (500ml) beer with a BBD of April 2016. So yep, this beer is old, and I’m giving it a go regardless. Some beers even at a lower ABV can hold up fairly well. This is not one of them. Murky gold ale with several particles in suspension. Smells like herbs and lemon zest, and flavor follows interestingly of sage and hints of clover honey. Feel is light and near nil carbonation. Noted is to give this beer a retry when fresh. A traditional ale with nod toward ancient recipes, just needs more body and a less vigorous pour on my part.

Floral, peaty aroma with notes of spicy herbs, light dampness, some swampy notes. Pours clear pale yellow. Tastes medium to thin body, malt, gentle bitterness and herbal notes, well-balanced, easy-drinkable.
Feels thin on the palate, light carbonation.
Overall interesting. HourGlass13 (951) - North Carolina, USA - MAR 4, 2017

Super clear, just off-copper coloured body with a large, three centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of grass, funk, cardboard, alcohol and a hint of dry malt and sugars. Light-bodied; Assertive funky and pungent cardboardie and very earthy, malty notes throughout with some mellow grain, grassy and even some oaty flavours that dominate the taste. Aftertaste shows a very dry finish with the grass, oak, alcohol and pungent grain front and centre. Overall, a nice rich beer with deep grassy and earthy flavours that show well for the style, but remain pungent and deep for everyone. I sampled this 33 cL bottle given to me from one of my hockey teammates on 08-February-2017 - Thanks Josh! jjsint (3204) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 31, 2017
Bottle from Three Judges, Glasgow. Pours a clear deep golden. A minimal bit of loose white head. Herbal and floral scent. It’s pleasant and enticing if light and a bit generic. Gentle bittersweet taste with a short finish. More floral notes and a suggestion of lavender in the aftertaste. I enjoy the idea of it more than I do the actual beer.
