Golden hazy yellow with a very small creamy off-white head. Skunky smell with yeast and light flowery, honey sweetness. Thin light body with soft carbonation. Tastes of gooseberries, nice smooth toasted malt, wheat, citrus. Starts nice but finish is bland dry and watery.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2017 Clear, amber with a white head and very high carbonation. Aroma is very strong rose petals and herbs. Taste is citrus, bitter gooseberry, herbal and earthy. cattaneopapa (417) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 25, 2017
330 bottle from LCBO. 5% alc/vol. Pours a hazy deep golden colour with a small head that dissipates quickly. Fruity aroma with notes of yeast and bread. Taste matches the aroma with citrus and pine notes. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Nothing spectacular. But it's much better than the average score it's been getting on RB. mabuzzer (896) - Hamilton, SCOTLAND - JUL 14, 2017
500ml bottle. Clear and golden with a moderate white head. Earthy aroma with citrus notes. Flavour is light, floral, citrus, not ad tart as I expected. A bit herbal in the finish. Not my favourite Williams Bros beer but ok BlackHaddock (7583) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUL 14, 2017
500ml bottle as Williams Bros Grozet: BBE Sep 2018. Second beer in a random tasting session with myself on 14th July 2017. Nice clean and clear pour, light amber/golden body, white blanket of foam on top. Having read ’the blurb’ on the rear label I was expecting a semi-sour Gooseberry and citrus flavoured beer, this was not the case. I liked the subtle citrusy/gooseberry infused feel and was really pleased it didn’t dominate too greatly. It’s not the first beer I’ve had with ’Bogmyrtle’ in either. Really pleased I bought this, nearly didn’t because of my boredom with citrusy golden beers. Another Williams Bros beer I enjoyed, good on them!

500ml bottle from Aldi. Pours a light amber with a lasting small white head. Aroma is earthy, floral, bready, dried citrus fruit and gooseberry. Silky and honeyed in the mouth with some light carbonation. Very floral and leafy with some straw and honey from the malt, puckering gooseberry and citrus zest leading into a bitter finish and back to that gooseberry. Not like any beer I’v had before, hints of white wine and cider in the mouth feel. I love to try a beer that is different ! Probably wont buy again as it’s not really what i’m looking for in a beer, but that doesn’t mean it’s not tasty. john44 (3331) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 12, 2017
Bottle. Yellowy Gold. Gooseberry & wheat ale. Unusual, rather vegetal, ale. Interesting but not very drinkable. Unpleasant lingering aftertaste. Not for me.

Pours light amber, clear. Not much head. Vegetal aroma, with a bit of red berry under that. Herbal flavors. Light/medium body. Tasty. sarauckelman (550) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - SEP 10, 2016
Clear golden brown with little head. Slightly fruity, slightly musty aroma. A lot of earthy and herbal notes, and slightly malty. Medium bodied. Unusual.
