Again, what can I say about this brewery? I love all of their beers and this is no exception. The fruity, almost floral nose is perfected by the very crisp, clean flavor. Papillon (400) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 11, 2012
330 mL Bottle. Yellow body with a frothy white head that settles to a film and clings generously to the glass. Aroma of light sweet malts, pungent resiny hops, a little hint of pine, and pronounced floral notes. Flavor of light sweet malts with spicy-pungent hops, notes of grapefruit rind, a little hint of lemon, a spicy-herbal aftertaste, and a hoppy-herbal finish. Another beer with a somewhat citrusy character that I hold in high esteem. leah2974 (453) - Georgia, USA - MAR 28, 2012
Bottle at Hop City. A good, fairly neutral wheat beer. Not much flavor in the way of gooseberries or fruitiness, but a nice, mild wheat taste with an easy, clean palate. Could drink several of these. shorlin (721) - St. John’s, Newfoundland, CANADA - OCT 3, 2000
Kind of lagery. Tasty. Complicated aftertaste. Flowery? rothycat (2) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 24, 2007 does not count
This is one of my top 5 favorite beer! I wish it were available in larger quantities here in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It’s only available in a "gift pack".

0,33l Flasche Grozet Gooseberry Ale. Hellgelb trüb, wenig Schaum. Sehr beeriger Duft. Hollunder, rote Johannisbeere, Stachelbeere. Frischer Stachelbeer Geschmack, dazu Hopfen und sanft bitter im Abgang. Dieses Bier hällt was es verspricht, es ist ein leckeres Stachelbeerbier. Leider ist es hier vollkommen unterbewertet! jtclockwork (16443) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 9, 2010
Tawny color in the glass. Smells like chocolate covered cherries. Tastes very sweet, but delicious. Rated 8/14/02 Travlr (24307) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 8, 2010
Draught at Churchkey, a staff recommendation. Hazy golden color. Aroma of gooseberries (haha, I have absolutely no idea what a gooseberry is, let alone what one smells like). Maybe aroma has a bit of heather. Taste is like a dry white wine with a bit of pine. Nice stuff. nuplastikk (6220) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 8, 2011
12oz bottle split with Ann. Filtered golden yellow. Small white head. Interesting earthy berry aroma. Mild, golden malt tones and a subdued dry green grape like berry touch. Mild spice tones, mellowed out in the smooth sweet malt. Excellent, doughy mouthfeel. Sublime. Boystout (1000) - Chisinau, MOLDOVA - AUG 9, 2004
Straw yellow colored, hazy, with good dense head. Amazing fruity medicinal aroma. Palate is herbal with good tone of gooseberries. The taste I could not compare to any of my previous beers. A legend.
