Bottle at the source. Clear yellow amber color, medium white head. Aroma of biscuit. Taste is watery and bready. Beachmaster (582) - Oklahoma, USA - FEB 1, 2014
12 oz. can. Pours a hazy amber, with a head that quickly subsides. Not much on the nose, and the taste follows the nose. Watery, not a lot of malt flavor, with a very thin mouthfeel. Not a very good exemplar of the style--there are many better amber marzens. dlovell2 (2237) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JAN 28, 2014
Poured from can. Cloudy amber color with off white head. Sweet malt aroma. Sweet caramel malt flavor. Slight hop finish. Very smooth.

Clear amber-orange color with a thick and foamy off-white head that recedes slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel and mild hops. Light to medium body with flavors of biscuit malt, caramel and earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Average overall.

12oz can from Bleu Cafe awhile back. Amber pour with a small khaki head. Malty aroma, earthy, biscuity, bread, some floral hops. Malty flavor, biscuit, earthy, a touch of metal. Meh. cheap (6016) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 22, 2013
Overall not bad tho I thought it a little strong at first so I guess its OK by me, nice memories. Was doing a Skype with my granddaughter while drinking this fall melancholy beer. A little sweet on the finsh as with most JStax (7130) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - OCT 20, 2013
Can pour. Translucent copper pour with a white head of foam. Aroma is somewhat sweet, but mostly spice forward. Decent, but nothing great. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - OCT 18, 2013
Serving: 12 oz. can from State Line Liquors. It pours a light amber orange with a pillowy off white head. Light toasted malt notes in the nose. More toast on the tongue with light floral from the hops. Definitely on the drier side (that’s a plus!). Not heavy or sweet. Solid. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - OCT 9, 2013
Can. Vegetal dusty malt aroma. Clear copper with a large off-white head. Vegetal malt and dusty weedy hops flavor. Body on the light side of medium, moderate carbonation.
