Clear golden pour with fair ring of white head. Smells and tastes of sweet creamed corn, slightly buttery. slight noble hop bite adds crispness. Meh. kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 3, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear dark gold body with a small fizzy white head that fell to a thin wispy covering. The nose is lightly malty with just a little toasted and crackery notes and minimal to no hops. The flavor is similar to the nose, lightly malty, fairly clean and well lagered, little to no bitterness. Tastes like a direct challenge to Yuengling Lager, though I think slightly better than the average glass of Yuengling. Light bodied with a clean sharp finish and fizzy carbonation. Not bad for what it is, a solidly made all-malt lager. Patrickctenchi (6660) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - FEB 7, 2013
Nearly clear gold with a puffy, shiny, white head.
Aroma is sweet malt, grain.
Taste is fairly sweet florals and grain.
Soft feel with a slight hop bitter.
Overall, pretty decent. snoworsummer (5911) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 2, 2013
With Jon. In a bottle. Exactly as the name describes. Classic lager. Tastes smooth and delicious and would go well with anything. Excellent session beer. BeerandBlues2 (13638) - Escondido, California, USA - NOV 10, 2012
Tap. Pours clear gold with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is pils malt, spicy hops and a clean lager character. Flavor is malt forward with medium hops and bitterness and a sweet finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

golden with small head. quite flavorful for the style. slight sweetness along with a touch of hoppiness. one of the best lagers i have had. solid. wlajwl (6941) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - APR 27, 2012
Aroma is bread/grains and a hint of vegetables. The flavor is malts, a hint of hops, an undertone of vegetables and a slightly odd funkiness. Could’ve been better without the vegetable flavor. Onenote81 (1002) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - APR 25, 2012
Originally reviewed: 8/23/10. Nice new offering from Clipper City. Always excited to see a new craft lager. Purchased at The Brewer’s Kettle in High Point. 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
Pours a translucent darker gold with the thinnest of white sheets on top. Dissipates quickly. Not even a ring around the edge. No lace. Scents of grass, flowers, veggies, and grains. The mouth is crisp and refreshing. Good carbonation level. Not too spritzy. The flavor is sharp and refreshing as well. A mild hop kick at the onset, creamy buttery middle, and finishes tangy and semi-sweet. Good lager here. Drinkable as anything I’ve had before. This is far better than any macro lager out there. Perfect beer for the summer, and perfect beer to introduce others to the wonderful world of craft beer. Will be getting this again and again. BREWMUSKCLES (2719) - New Jersey, USA - APR 16, 2012
kind of sweet with some bitterness that hits you late like, in the throat first. Some corny sweetness and malty wheat toffee fleeting through. $9.49 a six pack at a discounter. almost malt liquor like in gratey amped up style eeehhh. PGHbeer77 (571) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 15, 2012
Bottle. Eh. The weakest of the variety pack IMO. Pale copper color with a decent head. Lighter bodied palate than expected from a lager with a dry finish. The taste was a bit faint which drove down my rating; mostly picked up on hay hop mixed with a malt backbone, a corn aftertaste. Bleh.
