Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop and yeast aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where surpassed. hotstuff (5175) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 18, 2014
Rated on 11-23-2011 (Bottle) When poured, this beer has a small semi-fizzy beige head that mostly diminishes, transparent orange body, fast rising, fizzy carbonation, and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is malt, yeast, pine hops, grapefruit, tangy, fruity, and spicy. The flavor is malt, spicy, citrus hops, grapefruit and has a short dry finish. The mouthfeel is soft carbonation, sticky and this beer is medium bodied. This beer is quaffable, has a nice flavor and is worth trying. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 1, 2014

Deep copper pour with a thick tan head that slowly fades into very nice lacing. The aroma is primarily hops balanced out slightly by subtle spice. The taste is quite complex. It’s hoppy throughout but the Belgian twist complements this IPA well. It becomes easily drinkable at 7+% and has a very nice mouthfeel. Very solid and better than I was expecting! Pours a rich golden almost copper color with a two finger sticky eggshell colored foam. On the nose there is some belgian spice, caramel sweetness, and a nice blend of earthy and fruity hop notes. The palate follows the nose nicely with a good balance between belgian fruit esters and hop notes.

Uploading old ratings that were missing comments. Big fan of Loose Cannon and Black Cannon, but the yeast was a weird experiment to me and it didn't quite work.

Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 oz bottle. Dark copper pour, light off white head that fades quickly. Sweet syrupy aroma with hints of bubble gum and corn syrup. Flavor is sweet with some maple syrup notes, some toffee, a hint of citrus bitterness, bubble gum like back end. Mouthfeel is slightly pasty and artificial. Passable. From the bottle, pours a hazy copper orange with a thick off white head. Aroma is sweet malty and thick, some alcohol, slight fruit-peaches. Taste is similar, Thinner than expected, Malty, caramel, alcohol. Good beer. JaBier (8027) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - SEP 26, 2012
Sample at Buckeye Beer Engine on 9/11/12. Hazy amber pour with a thick beige head. Aroma of banana, pepper and citrusy hops. Banana and pepper flavor up front with some spice before a citrusy hop finish. A little too far in the Belgian direction; taking the beauty away from Loose Cannon.
