4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a pint glass. The label has very short description, freshness date and a 7.25% abv.
Appearance: It has beautiful light to medium amber hues with a tall and sticky off white head on top. The body also has a light haze and some nice visible carbonation flowing up to the head. As I drink the slow settling leaves lots of sticky lace patterns on the glass.
Smell: Right from the pop of the cap I get citrusy hop notes right up in my nose. Getting it into the glass it opens up with big citrusy grapefruit, sweet orange, peach and floral notes over light bready and pale biscuity maltiness.
Taste/Palate: Right up front there are nice sweet citrusy notes. Grapefruit and sweet orange marmalade notes flow across the tongue and over a mild bready malt base. This all thins out towards the finish and there is a very mild citrusy/floral hop bitterness in the end. The overall mouth feel is a light medium with a well balanced carbonation.
Notes: To start, this is one heck of a beautiful IPA. Its aroma is very pleasing as well as the juicy hops up front. It finishes a bit on the light side but overall I feel it’s still a very solid beer.
This is my favorite beer of all time. It has the perfect blend of hops sweetness and everything.

12 oz. can. Mild scents of hops and malt and yeast. Pours a cloudy brown orange with a white head. Balanced tastes of sweet carmel and cokies with a slight bite at the brief finish. Pretty drinkable. Not too distinctive. koleminer20 (3704) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - JUN 5, 2017
From notes. Had this on draft at Chick’s Oyster Bar in Virginia Beach on May 24. The pour is a darker golden orange with a thin ring of light off white head and a few spots of soapy lace as it falls. It’s interesting. The aroma is pretty good. There is a strong citrus and bitterness up front before the strong malts kick in. There is a light alcohol on the nose, and a little bit of bitter rind. The flavor is where it falls apart. It’s got a really sharp alcohol happening. It’s enormously bitter, and then fades into something almost sweet. The hop and pine resin just doesn’t work and the sweetness of the malts is a mess. The mouth feel is watery, yet a little thick with a sharper carbonation and a lingering bitter alcohol on the finish. This one definitely is not for me. dagimp (1008) - Philly, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 22, 2017

Smell of grapefruit
Strong amount of hops but not overpowering. Good fruit flavors with some definite hops but not overbearing. Very nice. 55x11 (84) - - MAR 26, 2017
On draft in DC. Aroma of tropical and citrus fruit. Some piney notes. A little malt comes thru. Caramel?
Appearance is a clear orange with off white head. So-so head retention. Nice lacing
Flavor is tropical fruit. Mango. Passionfruit. Some citrus notes. Moderate bitterness but lots of hop flavor. Fruit lingers in aftertaste
Mouthfeel - good carbonation. Dry finish. Very nice.
Overall - a great example of what IPA should be. Not too bitter but has lots of hop flavor. Wish aroma was stronger.
