22 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Best by 8/1/2016. Purchased on 12/4/2016 at State Line Liquors. Clear dark amber with off-white head. Aromas of malt, candied orange citrus, biscuit, light floral notes, some toasty notes. Tastes of citrus, malt, biscuit, candied lemon and orange, light floral notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Still drinkable but definitely past prime. jgb9348 (6486) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - NOV 27, 2016
Deep copper coloured body with a nice micro-foamed tan head, about two centimetres tall with a smooth ruby tint - very nice. Aroma of alcohol, earthier and more astringent hop scents along with some more noticeable grain and bready smells from the yeast. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong malty and very rich flavours with the yeast, grain, alcohol and bready bitterness shining through only showing a touch of the hop bitterness at the end. Aftertaste has a bit of a alcohol and very dry malt flavour and pushes the malt biterness over anything hop-centric. Overall, a decent IPA with a big emphasis on bitterness - but not from the hops - these are all malt, yeast and alcohol-related flavours. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Hannaford in Portland, Maine on 30-July-2016 for US$8,99 sampled at home in Washington on 26-November-2016.

Tried on draft at Pi in DC. Really like it. Good taste and finish, strong without feeling too harsh. A pleasant surprise.

[Bottle (660ml)] Pours a deep orange-amber with an average size long-lasting frothy off-white head. No lacing. Great aroma with lots of hops, fruit and citrus backed by bready malt. Flavour of caramel malt, leafy hops, fruit and a long bitter finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Medium bodied. Better then expected and really good stuff.
