Bottle pours murky brown color with off white head. Aroma is booze, vanilla, brown sugar, and wood. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor follows the nose and finishes smooth. Its not hot. All the flavors meld together well and has a smooth finish. I really enjoyed the cab version of this as well. I enjoyed this one a touch more. Good stuff.

22oz bottle. Pours deep brownish-orange with thin head. Aroma is caramel and wood - complex, malty oak. Flavor is malty caramel, toffee, and oak/vanilla. Dry spritzy hop leads to an earthy bitter finish with chocolate+caramel aftertaste. Mouthfeel is briskly carbonated with a full body. Slightly astringent from oak and alcohol. Overall, rich and interesting, caramel and malty.

Pours a very dark color with a thin head. Smells of bourbon and some sort of spice. Similar in taste to a octoberfest. Does not taste much like a barleywine but still good.

Dark brown with medium-small tan head. Aroma caramel/malt, bit of wood, dark fruits. Full body, some alcohol but pretty smooth anyway. Flavor sweet, brown sugar, some oak, dark fruit, vanilla. Warm off dry finish. Nice.

Bottle pours a clear reddish-brown with brief bubbly white head. Aroma sweet malts with faint oak and a hint of sourness. Taste sweet caramel/toffee malts with slight bourbon and vanilla. Oaky finish. Palate full with alcohol burn, could be just a little thicker but did not detract. Alcohol evident.

This is not particularly complex but does a nice job - straightforward barleywine with a nice proportion of bourbon and quite a bit of oak.

22oz bottle. Thanks to Hopscotch for sharing this one. Pours a reddish orange. Nose is sweet malt and bourbon with some definite fruit character. This is a damn fruity barley wine. Which doesnt bother me that much. I bet the cab version is very nice though. Vinous but lacking body to back it up. Nice caramel notes and lingering bourbon cherry caramel finish. This one has alot of potential but needs more body and needs to be pulled together a little better. Still better than I expected.

Pours brown with thick off white head. Huge nose of bourbon, oak, and maple syrup. Palate is thinner than I expected. Taste of vanilla, bourbon, and oak. The bourbon definitely improves the base beer. Would like to have more to see how this ages.

Pours red-brown with a thick white head. Aroma is lots of bourbon, some dark fruit and vanilla. Not real complicated, lots of bourbon. Taste is led by bourbon, some dark fruit, some vanilla, some spicy and herbal notes. Mostly that bourbon. I would have liked a bit more complexity, flavor-wise. The bourbon dominated this for me. Wasnt the barley wine that I was hoping for. Still, I enjoyed it; very drinkable.
