2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma of a mostly malty sweet nature, a couple of hops thrown in there but lets face it. This Is Not A DIPA! More like a mediocre american barlewine. I just started brewing myself(with a friend)about 7 weeks ago and the DIPAwe have in the fermenter tastes hoppier and truer to style(that’s before dry hopping & bottle conditioning). Back to the drawing board guys>>>
BB backlog, bottle, pours a hazy copper color with medium head. Notes of pine, grapefruit, sweet malt, candy syrups and other bread forward notes. Way too cloying for its own good. Pass mstrcrwly (1000) - New York, USA - AUG 31, 2014

A beautifully done DIPA by Heavy Seas! Glad I was able to get my hands on this smooth but powerful hop brew! Bebum (1012) - Massachusetts, USA - MAY 16, 2014
Light copper, clear, lasting head, a lot of lace.
Full body, intense flavor and carbonation, rich and smooth mouthfeel, pleasant balance, very long palate.

A- Pours a clear copper color with a nice, 1.5 finger frothy head.
S- Smell sweet and malty with hints of caramel.
T- Very sweet, caramel, hints of piney hops. A bit of a mettalic aftertaste.
M- Thick with low carbonation.
D- This was a fairly drinkable beer however I think it was a little off balance in the malt department which made it a little harder to drink.

Rated on 01-03-2010 (Bottle) When poured, this beer forms a small ivory head with a short retention, transparent orange body, visible carbonation, and it has spotty amounts of lacing. The Aroma is caramel malt, bitter, and citrus hops. The Taste is very bitter, caramel malt, citrus hops, and has a short dry finish. The Palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, this beer is a beer for the hopheads, is a sipping beer and has a lingering biter hoppy aftertaste. If you enjoy very hoppy tasting beer, then I recommend trying this one. Nice Beer! Pours a dark amber, cloudy with a nice white head that holds well. Aroma was malty sweet and hoppy. Taste was a nice sweetness from the malt and a good blend of hops that bitter nicely. The aftertaste was good. The mouth feel was full. A really good beer!
