Traditionally Cream Ales are fermented using lager yeast at "ale" temperatures, then slowly lowered down to "lager", taking the yeast from the top down to Davy Jones’ Locker.

Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, light fruittiness and a hinmt of earthiness with a crisp dry finish.

Served on draft at Whole Foods Market, Charlottesville, VA on 7/19/11. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a medium sized creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet malts, corn, vanilla and a toasty finish. The taste is vanilla, corn, toasted malts and a faintly hoppy finish. Medium bodied. I like this one a great deal.
