Bottle @ Papsoe tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are dried fruits, anis, yeast, nuts, caramel and hops. Dorwart (2607) - Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA - JAN 15, 2012
Thin head which dissipates rather quickly. Sweet and malty aroma with some cherries, toffee and spicy belgian yeast. Color is a dark crimson brown. Very nice color. Very good and pretty complex flavor. More sweet malts, dark fruity flavors, a bit of yeasty goodness and caramel. Really a very flavorful brew. Sort of reminds me of a watered down belgian quad. Little bit of dryness in the mouth and the alcohol is hidden very well with all of the flavors. This is one of the best begian dubbels I have had. A very nice brew and a pleasure to drink. Again, the Mutiny comes through! keepersj12 (3137) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - JAN 7, 2012
Nice stuff. Starts out sweet and stays that way. The aroma has a bunch of sugar and fruit. The flavor is very similar. Finish is crisp and clean. SHIG (4964) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - DEC 31, 2011
Bottle: Poured a murky copper light brown with no head. Aroma was sweet dark sticky fruit. Taste sweet dark fruit and had a touch of floral, very sticky to the tongue. Not a high end dubbel, but drinkable.
