COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Smoke On The Water is a rich and complex porter. The subtle smokey flavor comes from the use of smoked malt. Try it with anything that’s been cooked on a grill or smoker to compliment the flavor.

Pours dark brown with a lingering light brown head. Smells of roasted malt, some smoky undertones, chocolatey. Tastes roasty and sweet with a milky chocolate finish. More smoke would be nice on this one.

Medium smoke in aroma and taste. Almost black, with reddish tints. Modest head and average body. Sweeter than most of smoked brews that I have tried.

Bottle from GT quite some time ago - thanks! Respectable looking porter in the glass with a drifting tan head. Aroma is light smoke, roasted malt, soft chocolate, and a bit of faded hops. Nice light smoke and roast to the taste with subtle and soft chocolate. Touch of sweet, near-raisin malt in the finish. Even, clean feel in the mouth. LIght weight in the smoked beer category but a perfectly enjoyable porter on the whole.

Bottle. Pours black with a nice fluffy tan head that left spotty lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and faint smoke. Flavor was smooth and creamy with dark chocolate, molasses, coffee, roasted malts, caramel and smoke. A decent smoked brew

22 oz. bottle shared by lushawn right around the time the big Friday night bachelor party tasting was slowing down. Thanks, Shawn! Pours an opaque brown with a tan ring for a head. Notes of light smoke, roasted malts, coffee, milk sugar, and dark chocolate. Medium-bodied, with a smooth, rich mouthfeel and modest carbonation. Maybe my palate was shot by this point, but the smoke was pretty light in this. Good beer.

Bomber from BOTW (Rochester), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Deep brown-black with a decent mocha head. Aroma: Rich dark malts, coffee and chocolate, the smoke is Scotch-like, a wee metallic and bright note, molasses and licorice notes, a bit dusty and ashen, a bit of alcohol, some light fruity notes, pretty big stuff. Palate: Medium+ body, full, fine, soft effervescence, silky. Flav.: A bit more smoke than the nose, darker, deeper malts, lots of molasses, dark chocolate, black coffee, a little licorice, some berry-like fruitiness, big; sweet with fair bitterness, some alcohol and a long, inky, deep malt finish with some smoke.

A pretty big Smoked. Yarrrr.

22oz bottle served in a tulip. Pour is deep cola with three fingers of dark kaki head; retention and lacing are above average on this brew. Nose is smoke, roasted malt, rain water, wet cement, and a hint of dark chocolate. Taste is smoke and roasted malt up front, and then this is joined by dark chocolate covered raisons. This concoction ends with a lingering smoky dark chocolate covered raison. This is not the most diverse smoked porter I’ve come across, but it is very tasty and quite solid. I really believe I could put sixtle after sixtle of the Mutiny Fleet seasonal beers on tap and be a satisfied craft beer enthusiast; these guys just bring solid offering after solid offering to the table!

Aroma mocha chocolate sweetness with mild smoke hints, Alcohol non existent at this strength! 7+
Appearance dark-brown with extra large frothy beige brown top. Fine lace. 4+.
Flavor and Palate : medium full bodied. Bitterness with smoky hints , note of alcohol. Very drinkable blend even if simplistic in approach. Nice brew.
