Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of wavers1. Pours black with a warm reddish hue and a tiny beige head. The nose has roast and sweet dark dried fruits. Solid body, sweet roastiness, vanilla, raisins and plums. The smokiness is very subdued - close to non-existant. Ends sweet with hardly any bitterness. Much more of a Porter than a Smoked. But a nice Porter. 230211 Oakes (18794) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 23, 2012
Dark brown. Lightly smokey aroma with a heavy chocolate character. Has a lot of malts, almost too much as the maltiness kind of gets in the way. There’s a decent amount of smoke, I just want it to shine through more. Maybe a bit too much alcohol late - tastes like more than 8%, really. jtclockwork (17264) - , New Jersey, USA - SEP 16, 2010
Bottle. Pours black. Nose of roasted malts and smoke. Taste of chocolate, roasted malts and smoke. More of a chocolate porter than a "smoked" style. The smoke is more of an afterthought. bhensonb (15753) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 20, 2010
Bomber from Bruisin Ales. Pours very black with a foamy 3 finger tan head. Aroma is chocolate and bacon? Smoked chocolate? Full bodied with frothy/creamy carbonation. Smoke, chocolate, some bitter. Very good flavor. Theis (15151) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 26, 2011
