This brew pours a hazy golden orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Pumpkin spices in the nose along with some malt and vanilla. Medium body with flavors of pumpkins and nutmeg on top of hops and malt. The finish is a concoction of nutmeg, clove and pumpkins with a moderately bitter hops aftertaste. Decent beer overall that doesn’t delve very far into the pumpkin patch. hopdog (13258) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 26, 2009
On tap at Capone’s. Poured a medium and hazy orange color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of pumpkins and pumpkin spices. Tastes of the same pumpkin, spices, and pumpkin pie. This one definitely has the spices in it. Spicy and medium alcohol finish. jgb9348 (6588) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - OCT 24, 2009
Deep orange coloured body with a nice sized thinnish tan head. Aroma of potent pumpkin, some spices, alcohol and a good caramel scent. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong assertive pumpkin and squash flavours with nutmeg and cinnamon coming through too. Aftertaste shows a lot of pumpkin, good caramel and a touch of yeast - not much spiciness, but way more pumpkin and malt. Overall, a good pumpkin beer - definitely worth trying if you can find it, but the high alcohol and the minimal spices make it not the best overall beer for the season. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 02-October-2009, sampled on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 24-October-2009. User37895 (3085) - - OCT 23, 2009
Bottle from SL. The pour was amber to copper, weak head. The aroma was strong spices, nutmeg indeed, some cinammon, faint pumpkin. The flavor followed, too much spice, strong malts, sweet, this being a bit underwhelming from a brewer whose Heavy Seas brews I thought I liked more. Mouthfeel moderate for the abv and style. Meh. tgncc (3145) - Bellmore, New York, USA - OCT 19, 2009
Cask Ale @ Chelsea Pier, NYC. The appearance is a translucent, relatively clear orange, white head. The aroma is awesome, spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, pumpkin, bread. The flvor follows the aroma, with the flavor being slightly more spicy and sweet. The finish is spicy, sweet pumpkin, sugar. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty good overall.

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2010 If this beer were a cookie or maybe coffee, it would be good. Nutmeg....lots of nutmeg. Not all that good. ScoWRee (424) - Perkiomen, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 18, 2009
Pours a merky golden color with a small tan head. Aroma of cinamon, nutmeg pumpkin. Taste of hops pumpkin and spice. Comercial description is accurate. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 17, 2009
22oz. Bottle: Aroma of pumpkin, spice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Poured orange/amber in color with a small, creamy, dense, off-white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Not sparkling. Full of tiny, small, and medium-sized particles throughout. Flavor is lightly sweet and spiced. Tastes of pumpkin, spices, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Medium body. Slightly dry texture. Soft to average carbonation. Pumpkin and spice finish is lightly dry. 8%ABV is undetectable. beachbum25 (1092) - Powellville, Maryland, USA - OCT 17, 2009
Sample f/22oz Bomber-Dark orange pour w/a moderate off white head. Strong aroma of pumpkin & cinnamon. Has a little bit of hop flavor to it, but Pumpkin spice & cinnamon/nutmeg dominate the flavor. Spices keep it from being too sweet & give it a nice flavor. Pumpkin beers really aren’t my thing, but this is a very solid brew. If you are a pumpkin fan, this is the one to get. Long pumpkin finish, alcohol is well hidden.
