COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The secret is in the 2.5 pounds of spice per barrel for this fall brew. We add the pumpkin during the mash at precisely the right time to create just the perfect balance of malt, hops, pumpkin and spice.

VTHopHead (1511) - Seymour, Tennessee, USA - OCT 10, 2009
Bomber - Pours a nice "pumpkin" amber in color with a very small whitish head that fades to almost nothing... low carbonation. Aroma is slightly sweet and almost all pumpkin spice (clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, etc.) and nothing else. Flavor is a bit more complex. Some pumpkin, spices ( as noted) and a bit of harsh, unpleasant alcohol character. Slightly bitter and astringent at the end. Lingering bitterness with little else.

Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Dense beige head. Aroma of pumpkin, sweetness, ´spice and fruits. Flavour of pumpkin, fruits, spice, herbs and some light sweetness. medium bodied. Dry fruity end.

Hangover (1141) - oxford, Georgia, USA - OCT 22, 2010
Light copper pour, a finger sized white head. Are those spice particles floating in the beer or is it a dirty glass? I can smell the pumpkin pie aroma from a foot away. Flavor hits all the right ’pumpkin’ style buttons but with a little heat from the alcohol. Kind of distracting for a pumpkin beer in my opinion. Overall, it’s pretty spicy with a lot of nutmeg, clove and straight up pumpkin flavor but it’s so dang hot it just doesn’t work right.

WVHouseofBeer (1083) - West Virginia, USA - DEC 28, 2010
Pours orange-red color with a very small head. Decent aromas and flavors of mostly spices with a little bit of pumpkin. Nice thick mouthfeel with a slight alcohol tinge. Overall a pretty good pumpkin beer but nothing special.

Ron (4117) - Rochester, New York, USA - JAN 15, 2011
Pours a cloudy deep golden with an off-white head. Sweet aroma of brown sugar and pumpkin pie spices. Medium body, sweet caramel and fruit with nutmeg and cinnamon spices.

hoosiers1994 (684) - Maryland, USA - SEP 23, 2011
Pours dark amber with off white head. Aroma is spice, cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is a bit harsh and spicy, with cinnamon noted. There is a note of alcohol once this one warms. Finish is bitter and long. Overall and OK beer, but there are many better pumpkin ales. Too much spice for my liking. Cannot really taste the pumpkin.

On tap. One of the better pumpkin beers I’ve tried. Pumpkin, brown sugar and spice with a subtle, unobtrusive and pleasant hit of hops. Maybe a bit a the syrupy sweet side for me.

Poured a nice Med copper, into my St bernardus chalice Smell was a little spicy, but i get very little if any pumpkin, Taste is of clove and nutmeg,at the start, finishes very sweet with a nice spicy aftertaste of honey ginger and all spice The secret is in the 2.5 pounds of spice they use per barrel I think its a nice balance of malt, hops, and spice but as with most pumpkin beers i just dont get the amount of pumpkin i think should be there! overall a nice fall beer!

Another pumpkin beer shared by emacgee. Thanks dude. Tasted much like the last with the usual suspects- nutmeg, allspice, pumpkin. Better than the last, but I would never drink this voluntarily.
