Poured from a bottle. Clear amber color. Okay lacing but no head. Fruity aroma, apple and pumpkin, smooth and refreshing. Just a bit tart. corby112 (2804) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 28, 2009
Pours a slightly cloudy golden amber with golden orange hues when held to a light source and a two finger frothy white head. Good retention, leaving sporadic lacing throughout.
Sweet pumpkin pie aroma with hints of cinnamon, brown sugar, ginger, nutmeg and vanilla. The spiciness is however not overpowering, blending well with the pumpkin notes.
Nice medium body with lots of pumpkin pie spice. Pretty malty for the style with a lot of pumpkin flavor, cinnamon, brown sugar, vanilla, ginger and nutmeg. The spiciness is pretty prominent but doesn’t overpower the pumpkin lasting into a dry finish . This one is thick and complex and the ABV is very well masked making it pretty drinkable. Not the best example of the style but pretty good.

22 oz bomber. This one pours a dark orange color topped by a small off white colored head that leaves thin rings of lace behind. The aroma is nice and shows good balance between the toffee and caramel malts, cinnamon, ginger, and clove spices and fleshy pumpkin. The flavor follows with the sweet toffee malts and fleshy pumpkin up front followed by subtle spices of cinnamon and ginger snap and touch of floral hops. Just a hint of vanilla bean comes through as well and adds nice flavor. Medium to full bodied with balanced carbonation and finishes with some spices and hops on the finish. I like how the spices were subtle in this focusing more on the fresh pumpkin and malts. Definitely one of the better pumpkin beers I have had in awhile. Bottle. Murky orange-amber pour with a short, dense white head. Big spice nose to this - cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and some ginger. Pumpkin pie notes as well. Taste is a bit lesser on the spice, though it still is present. More clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar, pumpkin, ginger, candy notes, caramel and soft bread. Body is creamy and smooth with a soft carbonation. Very slick in spots and only slightly warming. Ends with more spices notes, pumpkin pie with whipped cream, brown sugar, light caramel, ginger and candy. Very tasty! Spices are not overdone and that’s always a plus! hopscotch (11170) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 13, 2009
Bottle… Clear dirty-orange ale with a small, creamy, white head. Very nice swirling retention. Spicy, pumpkin pie aromatics mingle with toffee malt and vanilla. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Sweet, spicy flavor – nice pumpkin presence. Spicy, bittersweet finish.

22 oz bottle. Hazy brown with some thin white froth. Nose is pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. Medium body with a tang. Taste kind of like the aroma with honey and clove but not too sweet. Nice earthy bitter finish. Residual spices, a touch of hops. Good balance, quite enjoyable. My favorite from Clipper City so far. beachbum25 (1092) - Powellville, Maryland, USA - OCT 17, 2009
Sample f/22oz Bomber-Dark orange pour w/a moderate off white head. Strong aroma of pumpkin & cinnamon. Has a little bit of hop flavor to it, but Pumpkin spice & cinnamon/nutmeg dominate the flavor. Spices keep it from being too sweet & give it a nice flavor. Pumpkin beers really aren’t my thing, but this is a very solid brew. If you are a pumpkin fan, this is the one to get. Long pumpkin finish, alcohol is well hidden. tgncc (3136) - Bellmore, New York, USA - OCT 19, 2009
Cask Ale @ Chelsea Pier, NYC. The appearance is a translucent, relatively clear orange, white head. The aroma is awesome, spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, pumpkin, bread. The flvor follows the aroma, with the flavor being slightly more spicy and sweet. The finish is spicy, sweet pumpkin, sugar. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty good overall. This brew pours a hazy golden orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Pumpkin spices in the nose along with some malt and vanilla. Medium body with flavors of pumpkins and nutmeg on top of hops and malt. The finish is a concoction of nutmeg, clove and pumpkins with a moderately bitter hops aftertaste. Decent beer overall that doesn’t delve very far into the pumpkin patch. JaBier (8105) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - NOV 1, 2009
22oz bottle. Clear amber pour with a thin off-white head. Malty aroma with brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Spicy and malty flavor up front that is fantastic, but quickly turns a bit boozy and has a weird finish. Aside from the finish, very good beer.
