tap. near black, rich creamy tan. Nose is lightly metallic and green, light roast marrying that and chocolate leaving a minty impression. Flavor is more pleasant, heavy chocolate and roast up front emerging in light pepper, then a lasting mint and chocolate chalkiness. Very pleasant, light warmth lasting.

Cask at Heavy Seas Alehouse in Inner Harbor Baltimore. Pours deep black. Thick coffee head. Excellent retention. Taste is heavy vanilla and Mexican chocolate. Hot cocoa. Nice initial sharp chili bite fades quickly with a big dose of dark chocolate. Creates an amazing Mexican spicy chocolate and peppermint chocolate flavor. Finishes quite rich and not too spicy. One of the best Heavy Seas beers I’ve had if not the best. Very rich palate. Ghost chili is not overpowering. Shared with two other ratebeerians and we all loved it!
