Pours dark brown/black. Very little head (almost none) that quickly disappeared until it only had a minimal lacing. A bit thin and carbonated for an imperial. Heavier taste of roasted coffee. Going to let it warm a bit to see if I like it better. I am not really a fan. Not as smooth as I would expect, and not really getting the toffee nor chocolate in it. Carbonation really bothers me on this one.

Smooth beer! Good aroma, toffee, coffee flavors. Good dessert beer....goes great with an with an expresso and cheesecake

Draft. This is a very dry and raisiny imperial stout, english-styled, touch of yeasty and herb.

Pours a deep brown to black with a khaki head. Aromas of coffee and chocolate. Taste the same with a little sweetness from the malt and molasses. Finishes clean from the hops. (12oz bottle) AROMA: roasted malt, coffee, roasted vegetables APPEARANCE: deep, dark pour, rich/black, chocolate colored head, not ultra thick foam unless forced TASTE: smokey, roasted grain, toast, bran, some sweetness, dried fruit, moderate bitterness, touch burnt/charred. PALATE: a touch of sparkle, medium heavy body, smooth, creamy, overall nice mouth feel. OVERALL: a respectable stout. It’s not bad, not the best but It’s pretty tasty. The aroma has a lot of coffee and chocolate which is pleasant but almost smells sort of fake I don’t know why. It’s actually pretty bitter and I’m only getting some roastiness and some alcohol. It’s definitely dry, they got that part down. Overall, it’s not a bad beer, just not really my type of stout. I kind of wish the taste didn’t have so much alcohol in it, I feel like that’s what kind of ruined it for me.
