Lightly hazed golden body, playfully effervescent, a pillowy whitish head holds. Plenty of orange and coriander in the aroma, lemongrass and a field of wildflowers follows. As I sipped, it was like I was taking roll-call of my tastebuds. Citrus? Here. Banana yeastiness? Here. Grassy bitterness? Here. Candi sugar? Here. Esters? Esters? Esters? The only thing missing was any noticeable alcohol from this 7%+ beer. I can only imagine the extensive test batches that were created before Heavy Seas put their stamp of approval on this complex and delicious recipe. Tastebuds = happy. Class dismissed... time for another Riptide. ~~~~ 12 oz. bottle, purchased "somewhere in Baltimore" (according to my wife). nuplastikk (6477) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 21, 2016
12oz bottle. This is my kind of White IPA, one that leans more into the Wit side the equation than Saison. Pleasant hop depth. Full bodied, drinks pretty big for the moderate ABV. A little boozy, heavy, but a solid example of the style. radagast83 (8533) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - FEB 15, 2016
12oz bottle. Poured a golden amber color with a small white head. Aroma was nice juicy citrus - grapefruit peel, tropical fruits. Flavor was tasty citrus, some light earthy notes. Lots of juicy fresh squeezed notes. Pleasant. badwhale (420) - Bitterville, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 26, 2015

Pleasant orange bready aroma. An opaque copper body with a thin head. A soft orange yeasty taste. Sweet orange taste with smooth silky feeling going down. Refreshing and bold.

How: 12 ounce bottle.
Appearance: Orange hue, with tons of head and sediment.
Aroma: Citrus, oranges, belgian yeast and candy.
Taste: Spices and malty, but kind of bland.
Palate: Highly carbonated.
Overall: Decent but not that notable. Decent summer beer.
Golden brown. Smell of sweet orange. Taste of bitter orange, hops, candied sugar. Fritz123 (1597) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - SEP 13, 2015
Pours a light colored IPA with a puffy white head and some lacing. Snifter at Lizardville. The aroma was bigger blonde with coriander, orange zest, belgian yeasts, and grains. The taste was similar to a blonde with a little more hop backbone. Not bad but kinda of a weird style. Clean finish. Beerathon (1681) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 25, 2015
Gold pour with thin white whispy head and slight lacing. A first whiff, it smells like a Belgian wit, with bitter orange peel, coriander, wheat, and yeast being predominant. The hops give it a citrus note, but it doesn’t show up until the backend of the flavor profile. Bigger than a typical wit/white, leading to a fuller mouthfeel. I appreciate what they’re doing here, but not all the flavors/aromas work together for me.
