COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This year’s Siren Noire Imperial Chocolate Stout has been revamped. We’ve aged it for three weeks in bourbon barrels, which gives the beer darker notes of raisin and fig. We’ve also tripled the amount of chocolate nibs and added vanilla bean. A mix of dark malts gives Siren Noire a well-rounded body that is decidedly chocolatey—but without being extraordinarily sweet. Mt. Hood hops contribute a fruity hop profile, with notes of black currant.

Pours black with a tan head. Roasted malt aroma with chocolate and bourbon. Sweet chocolate malt start with caramel and toffee followed by flavors of figs and vanilla. Finishes with bourbon and oak , dark cocoa, some smokiness and coffee. Some bitterness from the cocoa and coffee flavors and a little lingering booziness. Wow! This is a great brew!

With Zach over homemade chili, pours a deep black color with a java head. Nose is malt, chocolate and bourbon. Taste is chocolate and malt and upfront bourbon, and drinks with ease. Finishes on the smooth velvety tasting notes with a moderate long ending. Worth a try ! Quaff Score 8 / 10

Bomber. Pours black with a brown head and aroma of bourbon and chocolate. Taste is complex, nice bourbon notes throughout with chocolate, dark fruits, vanilla, and liquorice leading to bourbon filled, warming finish. Delicious brew

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 22 oz bottle into a tulip glass. The label lists the abv at 9.5% and there is a short description of the beer as well. Appearance: The body has a very dark brown, motor oil like pour. In the glass it looks black as night and opaque with a small tan head. It?s head holds on well and makes lots of nice slick lacing on the glass. Smell: In the nose I get notes of chocolate, caramel, fresh baked bread, molasses and raison.Taste / Palate: The flavor brings all of the wonderful notes from its aroma to the tongue on a big full and smooth palate. In the background there is a very light sweetness and mellow vanilla undertone.

Thanks Chris. Pours a pitch black nice fluffy head, sticky lacing. Nose is sweet, some chocolate and caramel and a touch of coconut / toffee. has a lot of my vanilla home-brew imperial stout crapiness. I’m a terrible homebrewr that brews an okay stout and it has that same tannic sweetness / harshness and disappointing overall. Still drinkable. and nice to split with some friends.

Pours opaque black with a 1-finger dark tan head. Aroma of vanilla from the wood, with a mild note of chocolate beneath. Body is full, but a touch watery, with a light boozy astringency in the finish. Flavor of coffee with chocolate, and maybe some raisin underneath, before the vanilla and some light heat from the bourbon come through in the finish.
