COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our "winter warmer" ale, brewed with copious helpings of English malts and US and English hops, a ruddy hued "Imperial ESB" in style. Full malty flavors dancing with powerful hop aromas and a lingering, firm hop bitterness. Seasonally available from mid October to February.

Very solid, one of the best ESBs out there for taste and the higher alcohol doesn’t really come through that much. It’s got the pleasant hop bitterness, not insanely citrusy. The best Heavy Seas I’ve had and available in 6-packs, definitely worth it.

Drank this on our trip to St. Michaels. Copper pour. It’s malty, generally clean flavors. Not a lot to it, but it’s good.

deep amber-red color; bready, slightly fruity aroma; bitter with piney hop notes up front with a caramally malty, sem-sweet malty finish

Poured from 12 oz bottle. Appearance is caramel brown with gold highlights. Aroma is bready, with caramel and molasses hints. Taste is very malty, with a strong cinnamon flavor, with supporting caramel and molasses and nutmeg. Overall very good, went well with stew.

A relatively well balanced ESB, hoppy and malty with a good mouthfeel. Good winter seasonal

Draft at the brewery. Pours clear copper brown with a fizzy bubbly white head. Tastes like dry bitter pine hops, with sweet grapefruit, doughy malt, sweet candied grapefruit. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like sweet doughy malt and grapefruit hops.

Bottle from Village Wine and Spirits. Large caramel nose, dark fruit, sugar, all a bit harsh and fumey. Pretty reddish/brown color. Harsh caramel initial, roast malt, sugary, and overly rich fruit. Medium body. Lots of flavor, but mostly rude.

Bottle from old backlog notes. Pours a clear orange amber color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have toasted bready malts, mild sweetness, caramel, floral, mild pine resin, moderate bitterness, decent enough.
