12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear copper color with a large head. Good head retention and poor lacing. Aroma is nutty with caramel malts and some fruity notes. Taste is grainy with caramel and bitter hops. Medium bodied. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 4, 2005
(12oz bottle, best by 4/06) Medium beige head topped by crystal clear copper body. Aroma is moderately sweet, floral, pine, caramel. The beer bursts with flavor-- moderately sweet, pine, grapefruit, melon, caramel, some floral, some alcohol warming. Smooth medium-full body. While at first it is very enjoyable, the sweetness does overwhelm somewhat by the end of the bottle, detracting somewhat from the experience. Bottle courtesy of moejuck. Pours clear amber with an average fizzy light-brown head, somewhat lasting, fair lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (caramel, nutty, roasted), heavy hops (fruit, perfume, flowers), average yeast (sweat, dough) with notes of light alcohol, peach and honey. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, sticky texture and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and heavy bitterness.

(Bottle) Pours a clear amber body with a large beige head. Aroma of toasted malt, grapefruit, pine, and a hint of peppermint. Flavor of malt, toffee, and mild hops. Sammy (13013) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 11, 2007
Extra malted and hopped ESB that has aroma of alcohol along with a bit of hop and malt aroma, is a bit on thin of mouthfeel and has cloudy orangey colour, but taste pretty good. Very dry finish and aftertaste. Could pass as a bit of a strong ale, more so than an IPA. thanks Dr.Jay.

12 oz bottle-pours a foamy light tan head that laces and copper color. Aroma is nice citrus-grapefruit and orange/pine hops, secondary medium malt. Taste is some alcohol, citrus-grapefruit and orange, metallic/herbal/pine hops, some tannins bitterness, secondary medium malt, some roasty. Slightly slick mouth fee. Taste doesn’t meet my expectations from the aroma, the (English) hops didn’t seem to quite stay ‘balanced’ on the jump to imperial ESB.
