Thanks to beerdrenched (see below) for the great opportunity. 2005. 750ml bottle. Deep dark and blood brown. The dregs. Finger width of clinging off-white head. Vanilla and oily smooth. Slight smokiness. Vanilla and spicy. Sweet malts, alcohol middle and a sticky finish. Cocoa and fruity. Nutty. Twisted and complex. Really, really good! As it ages the vanilla note really shines. Absolutely fabulous! Sweet vanilla malt oaky flavor. Thank you Eric!
Bottle thanks to Matt during RBWG lobby sesh. Pours a cloudy brown with beige head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, raisins, and vanilla. Thin mouth with sweet malt, brown sugar, caramel, and dark fruits, very oxidized. jandd1983 (4276) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - JUL 8, 2014
Sampled at the RBSG 2014. It poured a clear brown color with an off-white head. The aroma was of dark fruit, some bourbon, wood and alcohol. The taste was of dark fruits, some light bourbon with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Very nice. Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - JAN 29, 2014

Bottle shared at Dan’s Birthday Tasting (Lyons, IL). Pours a well hazed murky brownish amber pour, murky and dark with a frothy tannish head that dies to a decent film, laces ok. Aromas show oak, vinous qualities, some vanilla and spirit. Firmer oxidation, toffee and toast. Some caramel, and biscuits, and bread. Initial is red licorice, caramel and toffee, some biscuits, and oak. Vanilla, spirit and whiskey is gentle. Middle is a bit sweet, but firmly thinned. Some toffee, vanilla, oxidation. Backend is touches of spirit, dryness, and oak. A bit oxidized, dry. Still has held up surpringly well. Nice. bhensonb (15094) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 8, 2013
750 shared by Irishboy - thanks for this and so many others! Pours dirty dark brown with no head. Aroma is prune backed by brown sugar. Med body. Flavor is dark fruit, brown sugar, bourbon, oak, and it’snot at all sticky sweet. Arguably a bit oxidized. Or not. Develops pluminess in the finish.

Bottle shared at RBWG in the Hotel Lobby. Very sweet, Oak, Raisins and a little hint of metallic oxidation. This is quite great for a 7+ year old brew. Leighton (21087) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2013

2005 bottle. Cloudy red - brown beer. Small frothy cream - tan head. Some oxidised malt on the nose. Softish palate, slightly dry. Creamy malt, smooth. Not unpleasant sherry like oxidisation. Milk chocolate. Soft vanilla. Prune fruits in the undertone. Semi soft finish. Clearly an aged beer, but a very good one!
Bottle shared at Kramer’s Campground Brewdown 2012. Not sure who brought this one, but thank you! Always excited to try a heavyweight brew. Pours a dark amber red body with nice off white lacing. Aroma is vanilla malts, caramel, dark fruits, light booze and bourbon. Mouthfeel is softly carbonated and medium with notes of vanilla, bourbon, light oak, fruit - both dark fruit and berries, caramel, sweet chocolate and warming alcohol in the finish.
