Bottled. Orange-brown, small head. Sweetish, fruity and caramelly. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Buttery and mildly roasty. Low bitterness. estpiwo (1319) - ESTONIA - OCT 2, 2009
Bottle, produced in Germany, Ingolstadt. Dark brown beer. Roasted malts in aroma. Flavor of roasted caramel malts, some smoky, dry finish. danielst (422) - AUSTRIA - JUL 11, 2009
50cl bottle bought in Poland, 5.2% ABV, produced and bottled by Herrnbräu, Ingolstadt. Dark red with an off-white head, rather bad retention. The aroma shows caramel, roasted malt and a slightly bloody metallic tang. The caramel continues in the flavour, yet the beer finishes surprisingly dry. The mouthfeel and flavour are on the thin/watery edge, which is not so sexy. FatPhil (17334) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 10, 2009
500ml bottle (Carrefour, Warsaw)imdownthepub (15525) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2009
Deep red, fizzy head. Pleasant sweet dark caramel aroma. Sweet and fruity palate, almost kvass-like with its tartness. Very sweet caramel body. Llow hopping, onlt a hint. Finish is back to the sweet caramelly malts. Decent Schwarz, but slightly schizophrenic between a czech dunkel and a real schwarz.
Bottled, 500ml from an Alkohol shop, Krakow. Dark brown, ruby with white head. Roasty sweetish beer with a heavier palate than many Czech beers, some sweet chocolate notes with caramel and a little burnt sugar. Some malted bitterness late on. Fair.

Bottle, 5.0%. Roasted caramel aroma. Clear very dark brown colour, red shine. The flavour is sweet, some brown sugar notes. Also roasted and caramelly. Sweet but OK balanced. Quite good. JorisPPattyn (10121) - BELGIUM - DEC 20, 2008
UPDATED: DEC 22, 2008 Small darker beige head over fully opaque red-brown beer. Creamy nose, hazelnut-chocolate spread, sweet bread, milkchocolate, and some dry instant coffeepowder. And brown sugar. Surprising lactic-sourish edge to sweet, but also roasted and even lightly smoked touches on milk chocolate. Mainly sweet, Traubenzucker , but glimpses of hopbitterness come peeping around the corner. Pretty balanced. Slick, light to medium bodied, but not empty. Nice, if somewhat unusual Schwarz. Thanks to DeanS! Furseth (2165) - Kungälv, SWEDEN - SEP 10, 2008
