[Bottle from Anna Polski.] Nice surprise from Poland, but this bottle is from south down under. A lot of great schwarznotes, but a little thin mouthfeel for my taste. estpiwo (1319) - ESTONIA - OCT 2, 2009
Bottle, produced in Germany, Ingolstadt. Dark brown beer. Roasted malts in aroma. Flavor of roasted caramel malts, some smoky, dry finish. tomciccateri (1034) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - MAR 27, 2008
500ml brown bottle labeled Czarne Piwo. Pours a clear brown with a slight tan head and fine bubbles. Light-bodied, with a slight coffee flavor, dark malty sweetness. Not bad. detroiter (958) - Euphoria, Minnesota, USA - JAN 15, 2007
Pours a deep dark brown, topped by a thick and creamy head of tan foam. Good head retention and lacing. Chocolate and animal-feed grain in the aroma.
Bittersweet chocolate, mild coffee, and roasted grain in the flavor. Both sweet and dry with a hint of fruit. Medium body, moderate carbonation, a hint of a hop tang in the finish. Dry grain in the aftertaste. petexner (936) - CZECH REPUBLIC - DEC 31, 2010

Bottle 500 ml, brown.
It is a nice try but thank you. It tastes like coffie mixed with mild beer very much watered, some roastiness. Nice appearance, thick beautiful head simmilar to the one in a label, almost black body. Very nice bottle label. It gives an impression of elegance and proffesionalism, but I had expected much more from that beer and style: "Schwarzbier". grimreeser (797) - Minnesota, USA - FEB 16, 2007
Pours a very dark brown with a smallish off-white head. Nice nutty and chocolate aroma, some roastiness as well. Flavor is slightly bland, dry finish. Watery palate. chmurarz (645) - Legnica POLAND, POLAND - NOV 25, 2006

UPDATED: JUN 22, 2006 The label says "first Polish black beer", I thought "Whoa, is this the first stout brewed in this country?" Unfortunately not, this is a dark dunkel style beer. Brown colour, big bubbly head. When I first tried it there was an unpleasant smell, very similar to the horrid Rejs beer by Jurand, the next time it felt much better. Quite good anyway danielst (406) - AUSTRIA - JUL 11, 2009
50cl bottle bought in Poland, 5.2% ABV, produced and bottled by Herrnbräu, Ingolstadt. Dark red with an off-white head, rather bad retention. The aroma shows caramel, roasted malt and a slightly bloody metallic tang. The caramel continues in the flavour, yet the beer finishes surprisingly dry. The mouthfeel and flavour are on the thin/watery edge, which is not so sexy.
