Deep red, fizzy head. Pleasant sweet dark caramel aroma. Sweet and fruity palate, almost kvass-like with its tartness. Very sweet caramel body. Llow hopping, onlt a hint. Finish is back to the sweet caramelly malts. Decent Schwarz, but slightly schizophrenic between a czech dunkel and a real schwarz.

(bottle) Dark brown colour with a bubbling beige foamy head, leaving some lace. Sweet and dusty malty aroma with candied orange peels and dark chocolate. Sweetbitter flavour, light to medium body, smooth carbonation. Toasted and dark malty taste, notes of dark chocolate; slim and light bitter malty finish. Unfortunately a bit thin Dunkel with a strange aroma, anyway quite drinkable. (Many thanks to bierkoning for the sample !) skortila (5873) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - MAR 1, 2006
