Erzengel (9335) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JAN 2, 2014
Test vom 2.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,12,11,11,13,11 - 11,35

3fourths (9357) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 6, 2012
draft at Heberbrau in Kirchenthumbach.
a wonderful display of slightly-toasty, nutty, starchy and sweet dark malts, medium body but with huge frothiness and creaminess to the malt texture and carbonation. toasty, airy, dusty bread crumb and spalt spice. dusty baked crackers and just-charred malt bring a touch of roast into the mix. surprisingly good front to back, nutty, semi-sweet, a bit bran-like at times, and comfortably dry.

Bottle from Hilperts Braustubn. Aroma of caramel and distinct hops, hint of coffee and nuts. Taste is roasted malty with a bit of coffee and a bit of hops, but not bitter. Carbonation is low to medium. Very high drinkability.

It’s mahogany-red with a creamy, golden head. The aroma has notes of caramel, nuts, light dark syrup and cocoa. The flavour is moderately sweet with notes of caramel, roasted malt, nuts, light dark syrup and licorice – it’s a nice dunkel.
