4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
650ml brown bottle. Amber colour, head is beige, short lasting. Big juicy hoppy nose (grapefruit and pine), notes of fruit (peach, candied apple?), backed by malt. There is a touch of spiciness and trace alcohol. Flavour starts with malt, rye, and caramel, fairly sweet. Noticable piney hop flavours. Finishes with a good dose of bitterness and lingering hop flavour though not overly aggressive. Body is full, viscous, medium carbonation. Very drinkable for it’s strength.
12 oz bottle. Pours dark amber with tall, long lasting, fluffy off-white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of caramel malt, citrusy hops and ripe fruit. Body is full and slightly crisp. Citrusy, herbal hops, caramel malt and tropical fruit fill the mouth. Finish is long, huge, and dry. Outstanding brew. chriszfat (84) - Lake stevens, Washington, USA - JUN 4, 2016
From a bottle pours dark amber and clear with a decent head. Smell is malty and can smell the rye also. Taste is sweet Carmel and whiskey, too sweet. Some lasting bitterness but not enough for the overpowering sweetness and malt. BrewBrain (174) - Florida, USA - JUN 2, 2016
Dark amber pour with foamy tan head. Aroma is caramel, whiskey, orange. Very sweet citrus whiskey-like flavor. Moderate bitter very sticky finish. Too much caramel malt. polo_marco (332) - milton, Vermont, USA - MAY 27, 2016
Smells of bread sweet malts Orange pulp and slight booze scent. Dark red amber color. Sweet malt come out at first then hoppy citrus fruits with a wine like finish a taste that I dislike but can handle cause it’s suddel. Medium sticky body with lite carbonation. Brews a bit malty and boozy for what I enjoy for an IPA even one with this high ABV. But this could use more hop flavor. Not bad overall. fuzzcro (295) - Illinois, USA - APR 20, 2016
Much too bitter for my liking. Out of my normal brew comfort zone. Trying to spread my wings with new types...this however, was way off the mark.

Pours a deep dark orangish amber color. Aromas of big hop action, sweet malts, and more hops. Flavor has some bready malty tastes with nice grapefruit and floral hop taste. Quick3Beers (1257) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - APR 2, 2016
Pours a dark copper brown from a bottle. Whiskey and rye nose with caramel. Flavor similar, very malty, with lots of hops too, but seems like less of an IPA than a pale ale, or even a super hopped scotch ale. Good beer. sulawang (1168) - - MAR 21, 2016
Visual: (cellared for 4 years). Pours deep mahogany brown with a long lasting ultra-creamy small head, sticky micro lacing, super fine layer of 1mm retention, clusters of snail speed streams near the surface.
Nose: toffee barley malt. (lvl-4)-pungency
Attack: superfine creamy smooth, thick-dense mouthfeel, suspended micro CO2
Mid-palate: grapefruit bitter hops, (lvl-5-sweetness), toffee toasted barley malt, resiny, trace metallic
Finish: sweet-heavy alcohol hit, dry rye malt.
Summary: Super duper creamy mouthfeel unlike most others, stealth 10% ABV hits hard once it’s all over. Very drinkable, up there. That1Guy (2236) - Colorado, USA - MAR 18, 2016
12 oz bottle. Clear dark amber pour with a white head that disappears quickly. This is so oxidized. Smells like cardboard and cereal. Shocking flavors no doubt. Almost poured it out. eduardovl (1454) - SWITZERLAND - MAR 10, 2016
