Dark pour, slight tan head. Big dark fruit nose, some caramel and vanilla. Very sweet, complex and interesting. Big fruits, plum and fig. Some heat mixed in there as well. Going to be hard to finish the entire bottle - be sure to share with some friends!

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2013 Dark brown pour. More black. Small tan head. No lacing. Nice aroma of acetic sourness and molasses. Maybe too much molasses. Taste is the same with chocolate. A bit sour but way too much sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650 mL bottle. Don’t know why I expected this one to be lighter coloured. It’s brown. Small brown head. Bizarre aroma has roast and funk up front. It actually smells like a bunch of different beers blended together. The sour hits you first, and you’re thinking, hey, this is pretty good. Then you get hit with all this other, sweeter stuff. Chocolate and all. Big in a weird, small way. Very, very interesting.

22oz bottle. Dark brown with a thick dense light tan head. Aroma of toffee, vanilla, oak, citrus and fruity yeast esters. Flavor of oaky vanilla, fruity esters, cherries and mild cocoa. Medium to full body with a soft smooth mouth feel. Really good beer, unique blend of beers with a great barrel character.

12oz bottle. Pours dark brown with an off white head. Fruity, musty and definitely funky aroma. Very sweet, probably from the pomegrante, and malty with dark fruit flavors among so many other flavors that change as it warms. This is quite an interesting beer and one that will probably improve with age.

Bottle poured a dark brown color with a fizzy tan head. Aroma has bourbon barrels, rye, funky esters, dark fruit, and cherry. Mouth feel is medium with a thick coating for a sour and carbonation medium low. Flavor is rich on the barrels, dark fruit, and cherry tartness.

22 ounce bottle, bottled on 2/18/2013. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown with some reddish tints, and about a half inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. The brew smells like tart dark fruit (cherries), vinegar, whiskey, wood, lemon peel and some blackberries. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some raisins, caramel, vanilla and a bit of chocolate. I think the tart fruitiness is dominant, but the whiskey flavor is noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit slick and has low/moderate carbonation. I thought this was a good brew, I wasn’t expecting the tartness so it was a nice surprise. Definitely worth a try. $10.99 a bottle.

Bomber, cellared for about 1.5 years. Tart dark fruit aroma with some caramel, bourbon and a bit of rye. Pours dark brown with a thin light brown head with excellent lacing. Starts with rich dark fruit and caramel flavors. Finishes smooth with tart cherry flavor and a bit of vinegar. Good, but the finish is a little vinegary.
