Nice vinous, chocolate raisinette aroma. Bomber. Jacobean black-brown, hard to see through. Tangy, tart, chocolate, cedar, anise. Complex. Thanks to Jme down at Proof Production Facility.

Thx for this great beer!

Pours a nice dark blackish amber color. Aromas of dark fruits, and some other hints, maybe bourbon, maybe coffee. Flavor is a bittersweet, malty, and drinkable as hell.

They say its retired but its on tap at NWIPA, though "funky" isn’t part of it, and 8%. very fruity, blaanced, a little tart but not sour. aromas of caramel, espresso and plums. flavor leans more toward cherry, sweet but not to, hops somewhere, a little salty. smooth but also a little weight. balanced finish.

Bottle at WTWBA. Dark cola pour with a frothy head. Rich dark fruit. Sweet. Very good!

22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 6/12/15, Batch #2, Bottled 2/18/13
Press a dark brown color with a slight orange hue and a small head. The aroma is sweet, dark malts, some bozzy notes, chocolate, and funk. Tastes rather funky and a little sweet. Medium-full body, average carbonation. Decent, but maybe a bit too much going on.

Poured a murky lighter brown with a white head. Aroma was of caramel, dark fruits, and light Brett. Dark fruit and light lactic fatness actually kind of work together here.

Bottle, shared with Parksy, phantomhennes, TvM, and heavylaevy. Murky dark amber brown. Funky malty nose. Flavours of chocolate, brown bread, sour cherries, barnyard. Malty, funky, modestly sour-- a combination that really resonates with me.

Much different than the 2015 (which was tangy/sour). Pours a dark black with excellent lacing. Nose - It has grapes and chocolate notes with a rich maltiness. Taste - medium (to just below) mouthfeel. It has a nice balance of sweet and bitter with chocolate, dark fruits, grape skins and a charred oak note lingering into the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a well-aged bottle. Deep purple-black with a football-colored head like spun sugar. Aroma is complex, as you might expect: dark cherry, raisin, oak, cola, vinegar, cocoa, smoke. The flavor has more acidity in the form of balsamic vinegar, lemon, cherry, sharp oak, toffee and green apple. Sharp, lingering acidity and a touch of astringency. Creamy medium body, mild CO2. A smooth, complex blend of ales and lagers.
