22oz bottle pours a nice deep copper with ruby highlights and a short foamy offwhite head that stayed pretty well and laced the sides of the glass. Aromas of caramel malts, grapefruit, and a touch of candi sugar. Flavor is malty with caramel, and fruity as well with some grapefruit, and a bit of raisin. I’ve never had pomegranates or their juice so I wouldn’t know if this tasted like it or not. I know it is pretty drinkable for a brew that is 10% alcohol though. Palate is crisp and clean and it is quite light for a beer of it’s size. Finish is where the alcohol is found as the warmth is there. AleDrinker (1089) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUN 12, 2006
This was a great beer. I had no idea there was any pomegranate in this one until they told me. It doesn’t taste fruity at all (which is a good thing). Aroma was sweet and of caramel malt and hops. Body was medium. Finish was clean. This beer is 10% alcohol? It was so easy to drink, I’m surprised. Damn good beer. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JUN 10, 2006
Pours a transparent mahogany ruby with an airy frothy light tan head that leaves clumps of lacing as it subsides. Aroma of semi-sweet and fruity caramel malt and lots of fresh hops. Full body starts with some mildly sweet caramel malt well balanced with lots of fresh bittering hops and a hint of citrusy fruit. Finishes fairly warming and bittersweet. Could use a little more balance and some time to age as it’s a bit fresh right now. starfireming (309) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JUN 8, 2006
Huge dirty white head, rough poured, lovely clear amber colour. Malty aroma with fruit. Bland palate, but intense flavours of alcohol after a bit. Whoof! maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 8, 2006
Clear copper color with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet malty, slightly fruity aroma. Sweet fruity flavor, with some caramel in the end.

Poured a crystal clear deep orange amber color and large off-white head. If the head lasted a little longer I would have given it a 5. Sweet malty aroma with some fruity notes. I would say it’s pomegranate because it says so. I would never have guessed it though. Alcohol is pretty hidden in the aroma. The flavor has a short fairly sweet malty start then some fruit. The bitterness and alcohol pepperness start midway and goes to the finish. Silky mouthfeel and medium bodied. Light bubble gum as this warmed. This actually smoothed out as it warmed where usually the alcohol shows more.
