Blind tasting at Papsoes place, another great session, thanks Henrik! Beer #3: Pours hazy orange with a fully diminished white head. Orange and grapefruit aroma, light woody dry note. Flavour is sweet and light acidic. Sweet caramel malt and a mild liqourice hops note lurking through. Goes into a dry and light woody finish. A bit too sweet for my liking. Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet and totally dominated by over ripe fruit. The flavor is sweet wtih strong notes of fresh fruit as well as lots of hops, somewhat of a hop soup, leading to a dry bitter finish. The alcohol burns slightly in the top of the throat. joergen (28753) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 20, 2008
Hazy amber coloured with a medium sized off white head.
Sweet aroma of caramel, malts, hops and grape fruits with notes of dried fruits and dusty notes.
Sweet flavour of caramel, peaches, dried fruits, hops and grape fruits with notes of wood.
Hoppy finish. anders37 (26824) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JUL 18, 2007
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with an off-white head. Malty hoppy aroma with some fruity hints. Sweet fruity malty flavor with some sour flavor from pomgranate juice. Has a dry malty and bitter finish. oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAR 21, 2007
Bottled. Rubyish amber colour, small head. Aroma is grapes, very wineous notes, grassy and alcoholic. Flavour is alcohol, malts, grapes (which make it very wineous). Slow to get down, but very pleasant sessionbeer.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2007 Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear reddish brown, very brief head. Strong soapy perfumy hop aroma. fairly swee up front, boldly malty and full bodied. Salty with dense cookie malt character and a wealth of fruit and alcohol. Lingering salty bitterness. Potent and flavourful. Rather tasty, but perhaps not very refined. (Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Slightly hazy amber golden with a yellowish, off-white head. Fruit, caramel and a little diacety in the nose. Quite full-bodied with sweet, burned caramel, fruit and roasted malts. Lightly bitter finish with a slight underlying acidity. 190408 harrisoni (19003) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - SEP 18, 2006
LCRBM2. Amber, beige head. Good grapefruit hop, sticky toffee malt and then very dry grapefruit hop finish. Oakes (18199) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 13, 2006
Standard amber colour. Fairly malty, alcoholic aroma. Fairly strong malty taste, with light caramel and a hint of alcohol. Didn’t get any pomegranate. Nor anything else distinguishing...really dull for a big-ass beer. bhensonb (15497) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 17, 2006
Fruity pomegranate aroma - along with underlying malt. Copper amber red color with beige head. Starts with malt, passes to fruit (but the malt overpowers the fruit), which is hard to assign to a particular variety - could be a mix - but the bottle (and aroma) said pomegranate. There is enough hop to come through at the end, but that malt is longlasting. Not sticky sweet like many high alcohol ales. This is something to sip rather than quaff.
