This is alright. Smells hoppy, amber colour. Bitter but watery, light on palate and flavour. Session indeed, but that’s just an excuse anyway. Bottle from thirsty and miserable. 3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 13, 2012
bottle. stiff and rough caramel malt and browned apple nose, two things I absolutely can’t stand in beer. I’m perplexed that they call this 5.6% a session ale, which I wouldn’t have guessed, and that it’s been dry-hopped - also would not have guessed. it’s more of a run of the mill amber ale with stewed oatmeal and barley and red apple skins and crunchy bran cereal. cracklin’ oat bran amber ale. funny enough it smells and tastes like a lot of Mikkeller beers. b3shine (9152) - Indiana, USA - SEP 25, 2013
Bottle to pint. Looks solid for the style; a transparent amberish dark orange with off-white lacing and lively carbonation. Smells of robust citrus hops and malt. Tastes like it smells, but significantly less hoppy. Average on the palate. Decent beer, but it smells better than it tastes. drowland (9080) - Georgia, USA - JAN 27, 2012
1/27/12. 12oz bottle. Clear amber pour with a small khaki head. Plain aroma with some caramel malt. Sweet caramel flavor with pale malts, a touch of roast, and lingering citrusy hop character. Meh. downender (8891) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 21, 2014
Bottle at Ale Mary, Baltimore, September 2014. Amber in colour with, a decent, off-white, head. Some citrus hops, sweet tangerine fruit, crisp malts and a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

12oz bottle pours clear copper with light tan head. The aroma offers up sweet malts, some malt roastiness, a bit of nuttiness and then slivers of sweet dark fruity esters with some tingling spicy hops and molasses. The taste is similar with more malts than I was expecting with some decent malt roastiness, a bit of biscuit and then it flows into clean spicy to earthy to a bit pine resiny like hops. Into the finish some grainy malts make an appearance as do a bit of sweet dark fruity esters. Pretty nice level of hops that seem to be at about equal strength to the malts plus esters. drfabulous (8591) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAY 21, 2014
12 ounce bottle. Slightly malty and citrus hoppy. ABV and taste a bit above session, but very drinkable. Tasty. SudsMcDuff (8496) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - MAY 12, 2012
Pours a deep tan .. medium head, awesome cloudy lacing .. . homework sucks .. . light wood, light bitter malt can, and unsweetened molasses .. nice bitterness level, short finish .. . alright stuff, was expecting much more though .. . . marriage isn’t a salad bar! Tallahassee, Fl. - World Market - 12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly murky medium copper with a thin off-white head. Aroma leads to the sweet side of the spectrum with some molasses notes, some fruit salad sweetness. Full bodied flavor with some nuttiness, some brief citrus notes, a tad too much crystal malt, and a back end of brown sugar sweetness. Mouthfeel is pleasantly thick. jonas (8039) - Garching b. Bottle. Nice red amber, low head. Resinny hop nose, slightly skunked unfortunately. Medium light body, light roast and honey, grassy citric and piney hops. Minerally finish, light grass aftertaste.
