In the book of Exodus, the ancient Hebrews survived 400 years of bondage before the ultimate supreme court dropped the 10 deadly Plagues on the land of the taskmasters and the head dictator, Pharaoh. Even then, only begrudgingly, did he Let My People Go. The freedom ride across, nay through the sea left a band of wandering nomads broke and suffering, no doubt with a profound hunger – and a mighty thirst. Enter the Manna: a glorious gift to nourish body and soul. Manna was said to combine the tastes of everything most delicious to each individual, depending on their desire. And as the Good Book says, Each shall gather according to one’s need and shall enjoy a double portion for thine chosen day of rest. Manna fed the entire tribe, but tradition suggests the righteous received manna ground in a heavenly mill, while the wicked had to grind it below for themselves. Hear o’ Tribe of Shmaltz – Behold: A celebration of the flower of the craft beer revolution! A golden opportunity to feed your inner hop head and rejoice in HOP MANNA, our newest delicacy of the modern He’brew Beer family. L’Chaim! Dry Hopped with Centennial, Cascade and Citra (Centennial and Cascade in Batch 4).

Tap at Busters, This is a bright and floral IPA, a little light in color but makes up for it in taste, delicious.

Bottle: The aroma consists of moderate caramel, fruit, citrus, and pineapple. It pours a mostly transparent golden-orange with just a touch of haze. It has one finger soapy off-white head that fades to a thin film within a minute or so. There’s some real nice webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with moderate caramel. There’s some light-moderate fruitiness in the background. The finish has light-moderate grapefruit, lemon, and a touch of pine. It’s medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, too much caramel and not enough hops...although with no bottle dating, there’s a good chance it’s due to age.

bottle, from Triangle Wine. ok aroma, sweet. citrus, on the orange lemon side, clean brownish orange color, good head, faded quicly to a ring, minor lace. Bittersweet flavor. medium body, oily creamy mouthfeel, bitterdry finish. eh, I find it dull. aroma has a dull stale grainy streak about it, flavor kind of flat. give it a meh

From bottle, light hay golden color with off white head that lasts a long time. Citrus and great earthy pine coming from the fresh pour. Hay and some hay malt. Medium carbonation, with initial sweetness quickly balanced with some piney hops moving into fruit, and slight bitterness. Good beer, balance is a little off, but quality.

Pours clear amber with beautiful carbonation and a big, light and lacy head. Aroma is pure fresh hops. Flavor is hoppy and bitter but refreshing. Delightfully drinkable! Loved this beer.

Bottle from AZ Wine. As fresh as one could ask for here. Pours hazy copper with a beige head that leaves solid lacing. Brimming with hops in the aroma. Caramel, hop resin, pine, and sweet malts in the flavor. Delicious.

Bottle. Can’t find a batch number or date but this is far from outstandingly fresh: all I can find on the label is a 2012 so I guess that limits me to 8 months. Nice copper orange pour, white head. Aroma is a little bit oxydized, the hops have really faded, some piney aromas subside, lots of toffee, caramelized malt, oddly some coriander is present as well. Taste is relatively bitter, some carboard like oxidization notes, really toffee heavy. Palate is lively and medium bodied. Would like to rerate a fresher bottle.
