12oz bottle ’11 Gift pack 4/13/12 (Binny’s Downers Grove Singles Rack)-40° in Shaker-Pours a hazy light orangish amber with a small white head. Aroma of hops and malt. Taste of hops and malt. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and goes down easy. Nice job. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - APR 13, 2012
Thanks to Cavie for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma is fairly straightforward, with some nice tropical fruit notes and some bread from the malt. The flavor is a lot more complex. I get some nice grapefruit and orange notes up front, with some pineapple coming through a little bit later. I also get some grass and swe floral and perfume notes from the hops, as well as a little bit of candy sweetness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Bomber. Wonderful citrus aroma. Crystal clear dark golden color. Large light tan head. Medium bitter from start to finish. Head stays around but little lacing. Nice IPA to have in the spring in the shade. Amazing that the head is there the whole beer. Love it.

12oz bottle brought down from Andersons in Toledo by my father-in-law. Copper-orange pour with a thin off-white and good retention. Aroma is caramel malt and candy citrus. Tastes are herbal, caramel, grapefruit. Pretty standard stuff - but good. mrhoppy (1196) - Santa Clara, California, USA - MAR 4, 2012
Initial impression is it is similar to an English beer. A barnyard skunkiness. Reminds me of a Mikkeller slight hazy yellow but after all it is just a good IPA.

12oz from the sampler box pours slightly murky copper in body with off white head. The aroma is nice and pretty bold with rich tangelo and grapefruit and some pine like hoppy bitterness just churning around and around. The taste is full yummy spicy hops mixing with various citrus hop notes as well as resiny pine like hop bitterness too heading midway and into the finish. Darn nice IPA with plenty of yumminess to go around. One of the better IPAs I’ve had in a while. wlajwl (7212) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - FEB 27, 2012
Citrus, mid-range dry pine/hops in aroma. The flavor is citrus/hops with a slightly off body. Can’t detect what it is with the body that isn’t what it should be, this was drinkable as is but the body was off. cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 13, 2012
Bottle served in a tulip. Hazy dark orange with a short head. Malty, floral aroma. Medium sweet, light bitter flavor with malt dominating the mid-palate. The finish has a long, subtle bitterness to it for balance. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Too much malt for me. rmussman (1701) - California, USA - FEB 12, 2012
Sampled in a 12oz bottle. Pours bright orange with a nice lacey head on it that dissipates and moves nicely down the glass. Aroma is big and hoppy. Loved it. adam42381 (627) - Fort Myers, Florida, USA - FEB 12, 2012
Review from notes at World of Beer - Fort Myers on 11/20/11.
Poured on draft into a shaker pint.
Appearance: Pours a hazy golden caramel with a 1-2 finger thick snow white head. Excellent lacing.
Smell: Sweet citrus with a touch of lemon and lightly sweet malt.
Taste: Sweet citrus and lemon peel up front followed by pale malt in the middle before ending with nice fruity hops at the finish. Aftertaste is bittersweet and light.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with good carbonation.
Drinkability: High drinkability. You could have a few without much difficulty.
Overall: Good beer overall. A very solid IPA that is worth trying.
