Was very pleasing to my "hophead" palate. Did not get a chance to try either Test Batch #1 or #2.

Location: Draft at Hop Devil, 12/3/11, Rating # 1992, unfortunately, this one goes out to the last Redskins Super Bowl Victory, something that doesn’t seem too likely to happen again anytime soon. I’ll drink this one to Darrell Green, the Posse, the Hogs, the National Defense, and all the rest of the team that made that my favorite NFL Season.

Aroma: The nose is citrus, pine/resin and floral hops mostly
Appearance: The pour is a clear orange color with a white head and heavy lace
Flavor: The taste is mid plus sweet, citrus and mid-heavy bitterness, that is fairly resiny
Palate: The body is smooth and creamy with a fairly soft carbonation, and a slightly sticky feel
Overall Impression: This was on draft without a Batch # associated with it, but the tap looked exactly like the picture associated with this beer, so I’ll assume this is the one I was drinking. Personally, I really enjoyed this one. It is a good IPA with a nice mouthfeel that works well throughout. Nicely done here by HeBrew.

Sampled a few months ago out of a bomber. A big time malty brew followed up with a genuine hop palate. Great stuff.

Pours copper color with foamy white head. Strong hop aroma with some pine and citrus as well. Hop, pine, citrus and some malt flavors. Medium body with very bitter finish. Pretty standard IPA.

Sample with food pairing, Spuyten Duyvil, Brooklyn, 17/12/11. Orange hazy with a thinning lid. Peach air freshener and biscuit aroma. Better, spikier taste; still peachy but with botanical, herbal, piney hop to balance it. Lingering biscuit. Went nice with some very cheeky goat’s cheese if I remember rightly. Tasty.

On tap at Whole Foods, Pours very hazy amber with 1 finger of dense head and great retention. Aroma is not super "dry-hopped" but instead is heavy on the pine/resin and caramel with the "green" grapefruit notes dancing around the edges. Taste is very well balanced; bold caramel butts up against a hugely bitter resin and grapefruit hop profile. Body is medium, low carbonation, dry bitter finish.
