Bottled - first I missed it because of the ash cloud over Europe, but then I found it in London. A brown beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of alcohol as well as sweet and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of soy sauce, malt, roasted malt, hops, and alcohol, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. joergen (29234) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 24, 2010

Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Ruby/black, small but persistant head. Minty asphalt and grapefruit assaults my nostrils with pear, coffee and licorice following shortly thereafter. Sweet and massively full bodied with compact, black hole-style mouthfeel. Lots and lots of hops backed by licorice and truckloads of heavily roasty malt. Peppery warming alcohol dominates ths finish. Clean and massive, potent and hugely flavourful, but still not with much depth. madmitch76 (25568) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 9, 2012

Very deep dark red-brown beer. Just about transparent. No real head. Mild but unfortunate paint tones on the nose. Smooth soft palate, semi dry. Rich dark malt, not bitter or roasty. Semi sweet chocolate and mild coffee and a little cream. A dash of Port Wine and another hint of paint. Not getting much hop. Hides the abv well. Quite light all round and a good flavour that would be very good sans the paint.
Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of TheCheeseMan. Pours a clear reddish brown with a smallish beige head. Lovely aroma of hard roasted malt, dark dried fruits and BOOZE - a little Bourbon also?. Solid body, hard roasted malt, dark dried fruits and a massive hoppiness. Massive alcohol burn. Still comes out quite amazing. 230410
