Bottled, muddy brown pour with no head, lots of chocolate and maple syrup notes, chewy malt bodied, millionaires candy, good smooth finish IrishBoy (4199) - Bakersfield, California, USA - FEB 20, 2014
Bomber from Imbibe Wine. Nose is sweet caramel, hints of chocolate and golden raisins, and some very light toffee. Very dark brown with a small cinnamon colored head. Flavor is lightly bitter, contrasting moderate sweetness (overload of malts), spicy, white pepper, and a finishing bitterness without being overwhelmed by alcohol (where’s the beef (alcohol)?) Huge new offering (their take on Tactical Nuclear Penguin?) BurkeKevlar (5) - - FEB 17, 2014 does not count
Every year, I think that next year will be a huge mess. Every year, I am surprised. Less burn than you would expect at 17%. Delicious, dark flavors like burnt caramel, raisin, and plum. 17 hops? Where? There's no room in a malt bomb like this. Looking forward to whatever Legal Age brings! Braudog (6710) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - FEB 17, 2014
Bottle. Holy .... This is a BIG, BIG beer. It’s a gigantic beer in every way ... deep and dark-as-night ruby red, the head perhaps a bit too quick to run away. The aroma is rich and sugary, full of robust dark intrigue. Onc eyou start drinking this, it clings to your lips several minutes afterwards. The flavors are explosive ... chewy dates, raisin, cooked brown sugar. Thick as a peanut butter sandwich. (#5441, 2/17/2014) drtbrewster (40) - Arizona, USA - FEB 17, 2014
A huge beer that is big in ABV and comes through, the malt really carries through the palette, I enjoyed this beer and is a must try for all.

Nose--cold coffee, wheat, dark sugars, Appearance --used motor oil, dark head, lingering lacing, Taste--sweet, sourish, slightly bitter but rounded-ish, a little asymmetrical Palate---full body, sticky, creamy. Big Nikiel (879) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 9, 2014
Bottle from Belmont Station. Pours dark brown with almost no foam. Smells lightly sweet, oaky, slight vanilla and a bit of alcohol. Tastes full bodied, with hints of dark fruits, vanilla, a bit of chocolateand ends with a big alcohol burn. mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - FEB 7, 2014
Ok it's a mess. But what a fine mess! What impresses me here is that while the 17% heat is present, it's not overbearing, and pretty drinkable too. Nice!

This is a monster, pours a very dark brown, a finger of brown head after a fairly aggressive pour (more than expected) but carbonation is pretty low. Huge aromas that are just all over the place, I get candied orange, grapefruit, more dark fruits, some semisweet chocolate, a little spice, booze. Like the nose, the taste is everywhere, I get the candied citric hop notes up front, the malts take over in the middle and back of the mouth, dark fruits, chocolate, licorice, a touch of coffee, definitely some alcohol too. Not quite hot, but a "very warm" beer, after a while I found it getting a little cloying as it warmed. Worth a try, a cool idea, but it’s sharer, I don’t recommend trying to drink an entire bomber yourself. oRos (1675) - sacramento, California, USA - FEB 3, 2014
Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours black with not much head. Taste is some chocolate. Has a soy souce like salty finish.
