Brewed with the juice of over 10,000 luscious pomegranates, ORIGIN is a complex, rich and balanced Imperial Amber Ale with a truly unique character. The pomegranate juice is added during fermentation, leaving only the residual sugars, which serve to balance the hop bitterness.

Appearance: very hazy darker amber color, small tan head that dissipates quickly Aroma: malty caramel, pretty faint, pomegranate Taste: deep roasted malt, almost a coffee flavor, some pomegranate Palate: higher carbonation, leaves an alcohol and slightly pomegranate aftertaste, Overall: very big let down for me, I guess the flavor of the pomegranate is not citrusy enough, it tastes like alcohol ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a large off white head. The aroma is pomegranate juice, herbal and earthy notes, caramel, with a dusty quality. The flavor is mild to moderate sweet malts, caramel, pomegranate juice, with some herbal and earthy hops. It is a bit thinner than most of the Hebrew beers I’ve had. Just ok.

The appearance is a hazy auburn color with a large off-white head, and the aroma consists of caramel malts, dough yeast, and a general fruity sourness (which isn’t specifically pomegranate). When sipped, the taste is quite sour, but this is nicely balanced against a mild sweetness and the overall mouthfeel, which is comprised of a medium body, average carbonation, slick texture, and a finish that isn’t sour whatsoever but is still malty and long.

Bottle - Caramel, sweet malts, boozey, more like a barley wine. Clear copper no head. Boozey and tastes like a barley wine. Spicy and lots of burn, not sure what they were going for, not that great.

This beer has a cloudy brown appearance and sweet fruity aroma. It is slightly bitter with a hint of sweet summer fruit. It is like a brown crossed with a fruit infused beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An okay beer. Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel. Not as much sweetness as I was hoping, rather bland.

Craft beer tasting dinner at the Brownstone, round one: Clear medium amber, small foamy tan head fades. Fruity caramel malt aroma. Taste is rich and sweet caramel toffee malt, with a light berry fruitiness behind, and not much else. Soft carbonation, medium bodied, lightly hopped. ABV is well hidden. Almost cloying as it warms, sweet malty fruity finish. NFL (Not For Lagerboys) Interesting pairing with chili, truffle and rhubarb flavored popcorn.
