Clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with mild carbonation. Clean malt, semi sweet with a little cream. Nice touch of dates and figs. Finishes smooth and dry. Simple stuff but very drinkable.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear dark ruddy amber with a frothy beige head. The aroma of dark fruits is strong. Some dark malt aroma too. Med + body. Flavor is date/fig with some chocolate, and perhaps a bit of anise. The malt is malty. There’s a lot of flavor in this, and tho it’s finishing sweet, there are so many other flavors that there’s a bitter component. The flavors are not common, but they are tasty. djd07 (15543) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 13, 2013

Medium to full body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy balanced dark bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. Tastes more like a doppelbock to me. Dry and malty doppelbock, basically a doppelbock with simple sugar to boost it.
